Four of us had an early dinner at Don’t Tell Mama on a Saturday between matinee and evening theater performances. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was fairly crowded and pretty noisy due to bar crowd and piano singer. Food was good, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Waiter was attentive. Good value for a NYC restaurant.

Excellent food and the drinks were divine! Pre-show dinner; we showed up a half hour early, but no problem!

For dinner, this is typical of the quality of restaurants in the theater district -- the food is mediocre but the service is prompt and the prices are reasonable. We ordered the $38 prix fixe, with salad or appetizer (indifferent bruschetta), choice of entree (her bowl of Israeli couscous and a moderately spicy sausage that is not what I would call "chorizo" wasn't bad, but my chicken breast with demi-glace as dry and chewy), and choice of dessert (my lemon meringue pie was terrible, lots of gelatin and very little lemon flavor, on a crust that wasn't brown).

Very nice place to eat and get a fun show after. Only thing, we were not able to pay with cards that night (only cash) so we haven’t stay as long as we would wish.

We had a terrific time. Service was excellent, as well as the ambiance. The plates were delicious. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The piano bar next door was a real good time. Definitely be back!

I came on vacation and was told to try this restaurant and honestly I was very disappointed. Service was trash and the food was not worth the price I paid .

After reading great reviews, booked this restaurant hoping to eat an early meal whilst listening to the piano - from 7pm- and then enjoy the “acts”. Turns out the restaurant is in a separate annex to the piano player so it is just a small and quiet restaurant. Set menu food was lovely. We finished our meal just before 9 pm and went into the piano bar area and it was packed solid with bar users. No seats/ tables spare so we left. Such a shame to leave as it looked great and had a fab atmosphere. Perhaps I needed to do more research on the venue but only chose it for entertainment.
