We had a great time celebrating our daughter’s birthday! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, setting the stage for a memorable experience. The food was delicious- every dish was flavorful, creative, and nicely presented. I especially loved the Char Soi Bao and the soft-serve ice cream. The service was top-notch, making us feel welcome and ensuring our celebration was extra special, including a personalized menu for our daughter! We can’t wait to return. Thanks to everyone for helping to make our daughter's day special. Recommended!

Subtle eclectic, cozy, welcoming, fun environment. Little loud at times but part of the vibes. Incredible food and service. We ordered the bao soup dumping buns, duck fried rice, and goat slapped noodles (little spicy 🌶️). Amazing cocktail selection- you can’t go wrong with any of them! It was my birthday and they gave me a little mango vanilla ice cream. YUM TO THE MAX!

Our table was not ready at reservation time. We were encouraged to go to bar (seemingly to get out of the way) but we are not big drinkers so politely declined. There weren’t two seats available at the bar either. There is almost no space to wait though. Anywhere. Did not realize until later there was a coat check option because no one offered it to us. Ended up working out though because we were seated closest to the door and were freezing. Food was underwhelming which I was shocked by because I loved Girl and the Goat. Ordered 7 dishes and would only reorder 2 of them if I were to consider coming back. BBQ pork bao buns were dry. Dan Dan noodles were thick and doughy and not in a yummy house made way. Duck/goat spring rolls lacked flavor. Beef and broccoli was meh - and tasted like excessive char or propane? I couldn’t tell. Waitress was polite but lacked attentiveness. In the beginning we told her we were almost ready to order and just needed 2 more minutes max. We didn’t see her for at least 10 minutes following. Just an overall subpar experience. It was fine but certainly not worth the money.

The food is tasty and prepared with care but the prices are frankly insane for the portion sizes. Service is fine. Highlight dishes: the hongshao rou--but missing normal garnishes like quail eggs, potatoes, or rice, served instead with the same garnishes as peking duck, which is a bit hard to justify, but still tasty. Misses: Xiaolongbao --The soup was a miss for me, pairing poorly with the skin and the vinegar, flavor resembles niuroujianbao which doesn't pair well with the thin skin and dark vinegar, and this vinegar is not accentuating the flavor of ginger or refreshing the palate. Xialongbao is a flexible dish but one with highly fixed virtues, and this manages to miss the extraordinary harmony of the classic. --the chashaobao one guest told me that it was too soggy on bottom. Also, $15 for less food than a taco is a bit rough. While these are delicio, and the meat is clearly no joke to prepare, you cannot help but feel wronged by the portion sizes. These are small for baozi! I have high standards for chinese food at these prices, and this is acceptable, and tasty, but not great. I like fusion cuisine when it can offer a unique and superior value to the traditional cuisine. Shanghai cuisine should be more elegant in taste while being substantial and straightforward.

Duck Duck Goat is one of our favorite restaurants! The decor is beautiful and cool, creating the perfect vibe for a memorable dining experience. The service is great, and the food is incredibly flavorful. Highlights include the glass noodles, green beans, cucumbers, and the mango cloud dessert. We also love that there are so many fantastic vegetarian options! We came back for my daughter's birthday when she returned from college, and it was a great place for a celebration. Highly recommend!

Another great visit, and this time helping celebrate the 9 year anniversary of this great restaurant. Chef Izard does an amazing job. Had a few former dishes put on the specials menu for the anniversary and did not disappoint. Favorite was the Octopus Salad which I wish were put back on the permanent menu. Can’t wait for our next visit.
