   Food and service were both excellent. The paella rice was delicious; the crab cakes were just the way my wife likes them. It has gotten more expensive, but what hasn't? Loved the outdoor holiday decorations!

   Our server was attentive and friendly. We have had her as a server before, and because of her, our experiences have always been wonderful. Unfortunately, the food wasn’t as good as we have had on prior occasions. The French onion soup was tasty, however not very hot. My husband ordered the beef tenderloin which was very salty—the meat as well as all of the sides. I had ordered the salmon which was undercooked in the center. For dessert, the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake was fairly dense. The berries and whipped cream on the cheesecake was the best part, in my opinion.

   Every dish our foursome had was EXCELLENT…crab cakes, yellowfin tuna, beef tenderloin and lamb shank. The coconut cake is the BEST!

   Too busy to care anymore. I have been here many times but the last two visits proved disappointing. It was our 10th wedding anniversary (so noted in the reservation). We had to send the NY strip back for being undercooked and when the butternut squash finally came out, the squash was undercooked as well. I am not the type of customer to be so picky but I know how to cook and these were legitimate complaints. Server was too busy to care. When she presented the bill she casually said happy anniversary. Not going back anymore. If you want customer service and a great meal, go to the Old Ivy Inn. They know how to run a restaurant!!

   Duners had been suggested to us by someone at one of the Charlottesville inns. I'm so glad we took her up on that! The restaurant reminded us of some of the Napa Valley restaurants we have frequented on our California days. Great food, knowledgeable and friendly staff and fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back!

   Make sure you try the cocoanut cake for dessert! The rockfish is very good.
