One of the best kept secrets in the Hudson valley!
The staff are so very kind and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. My food was absolutely to die for, filet mignon seared to perfection, and was accompanied by an absolutely delicious boozy drink (or 3) from bar. Don't even get me started on the location, a gorgeous historic mansion I feel I could spend hours exploring, simply breathtaking!
Overall, my dining experience at the Edgewood restaurant was exceptional and I truly can't wait to come back.

We loved the ambiance and were greeted warmly.
Service was slow initially but fine.
The food was good but not exceptional.
We really enjoyed the Ceaser salad-asked for extra dressing and received extra anchovies ,parmesan and dressing-.We were like wow how nice-.Lol-they charged us 7 dollars extra for that-no big deal but it was not mentioned prior,The entrees were good but not exceptional. We generally bring our own wine and called prior for approval and they said there was a 25 dollar corkage fee but on our bill they charged 40?
I asked and our server said thats what the computer printed?.The manager confirmed it was 25.Also they charged 6 dollars extra for a refill of coffee ,again no big deal but it should have been mentioned.
All in all we enjoyed it but I wanted to give my honest opinion. We never care about the bill generally but for some reason this annoyed us.
Update,The restaurant replied to my review and did all the right things so do not hesitate to try it

We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary. Their staff was overly attentive and the food was outstanding. We complemented the chef. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning there in the future.

While our service and ambience of this gorgeous estate was top notch, sadly the food was not for the price of our dishes. The menu selection was very small, and some of the vegetables on the plate were burned, mainly the broccolini. We still enjoyed our time, however.

Beautiful atmosphere, surroundings and furnishings in an old mansion. Service was great with very friendly staff. Recommend the onion soup, steak tartare and branzino.

I dined here alone on a Thursday night in the lovely and warm bar area, which has an intimate feeling. The bartender Matt was charming and made delicious cocktails tailored to my tastes. I had the cigars stuffed with chicken liver pate, and they were scrumptious, must order. My main was roast duck and it was perfectly cooked. I also recommend the creme brulee, which was the best I have had in a long time. Overall a great experience.

I dined at Edgewood for Sunday brunch and loved everything about my experience from the service, to the space, to the food. I visited with my mother-in-law who is rather picky and my four-year-old son (also quite picky!) and was delighted to find choices that made everyone happy. I had the burger (delicious), my son had the waffle (he was very pleased), and my mother-in-law had the croque madame. We all enjoyed the food, the drinks, and the elegant yet relaxed vibe of the place. Will return soon to try their dinner menu!

Conrad provided wonderful service and was mindful of my allergies. The person who greeted us, and another who checked in on us were lovely. We needed to have a super early dinner because we were seeing Patti Smith at the Ulster Performing Arts Center, so it was extremely peaceful. When we returned after the show (we were staying at the Hutton brickyards Hotel in which Edgewood restaurant is located), we noticed the restaurant was bustling, yet inviting and cozy. The lights were dimmed a little bit more. Now about the meal. The food was wonderful. Classic, somewhat of a French preparation, with some creative flare. CACIO E PEPE RISOTTO: Seared scallops, black peppercorn risotto, sage, aged parmesan. Sublime. My partner had FILET MIGNON: Smashed black butter potato, black garlic cream, charred Brussels sprouts. I was happy that I was able to have a couple of bites of his, and he of mine, since his was also free of my allergens. Spectacular flavor profile. For dessert we shared MOUSSE au CHOCOLAT with whipped cream; this was a bit underwhelming. It was fine. But after experiencing the two main dishes, I was a little bit disappointed by the dessert. This might only be because it seemed to be a milk, chocolate mousse, and I am used to a rich, dark chocolate mousse. It was presented in a lovely coupe glass, with a couple of berries, it was very pretty, but the flavor was not what I was expecting. Again, it probably just has to do with the type of chocolate used, it was a perfectly adequate dessert. We will definitely be sure to book a reservation at Edgewood the next time we visit Kingston. I have already let friends know about this place. It is a beautiful historic building, and the restaurant is perfect simplicity in decor.
