   We spent a birthday lunch at EDK today. We each enjoyed different food: Caesar salad with Chicken, Crab sandwich and beef hash with egg. All were excellent. A surprise birthday brownie came out with a candle without requesting it. Just said we were celebrating a birthday on the reservation. Very nice. Restaurant was VERY busy and noisy. Next time I will not sit in the bar area but instead by the kitchen along the windows overlooking Spain St. Server very nice but service slow due to the large number of diners. I think we will do an early reservation next time (11:30 instead of 12:30). Overall, the food was great and will definitely be back.

   Our experience at EDK was perfect. The food, service and atmosphere were all spot on. The beet salad was chock full of beets! We all had different salads and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. I appreciated that they weren’t drowning in salad dressing but there was plenty of flavor. The piece of salmon was perfectly cooked and it was a large thick piece. We weren’t rushed at all and our server and all the wait staff were helpful and kind. I have nothing but praise for the chef and everyone else. Thank you!

   We live in Sonoma and enjoy dining at EDK. Entrees don’t change much over the years so we don’t go there often. Food, service, ambience are all good. It’s a top 5 Resto in Sonoma town.

   The seafood paella was very disappointing. The rice was almost white (instead of the normal saffron yellow) and it was burnt so bad. The seafood on top was ok but I would not call this a good paella.

   Two of us shared the wagyu beef carpaccio, beet salad and paella. All were great and a little too much food. For the paella, I like salmon that’s medium rare so they brought the whole salmon steak rather than pre-cutting to cook it. It came out perfectly was not overcooked like it typically is in paella. Lots of seafood in it so I can see why it is a signature dish.
