   Party of two. Our experience was not even close to 5 stars and here’s why: Tacos were great, fresh, lots of spice and dynamic flavours. Two tacos per order is perfect for sharing. Apps were tiny and lackluster. Service was terrible. The hostess made fun of my name. The waitress was absolutely miserable. She was so quiet and just kind of put a damper on our experience at a new restaurant for us. The restaurant is small with an enclosed patio. It’s so tiny, cramped and uncomfortable. It didn’t seem like the kitchen was equipped to deal with the additional demand. After we finished our meal I placed an order for take out for my partner at home. We were asked to move to the bar to wait to make room for other reservations. I don’t even think we were there for the time allotted and if we were it was because the kitchen is so slow in getting the food out. Long story short, there are too many restaurants around with better service and the same food and we won’t be back to El Pocho.

   Great hole-in-the-wall, nicely decorated. Good background music. Seating a little too tight on the veranda section which caused some problems with seating etc. Service wasn't quick at first but we liked it that way. Pacing between courses was excellent. Three of us had the Chef chooses - great choice. We were VERY full when we walked out. Starters were homemade tortillas chips with very nice guac & salsas and tasty ceviches. Courses raged from fish tacos to carnitas to beef to BBQ Mexican corn ... You get the picture - lots of good eats! Highly recommended! And SUPER gluten free friendly. A must stop for celiacs.

   Great food! Great vibe! It was amazing that everything is gluten free as well! All fairly priced and good portions. The fried chicken is the best on the menu, you have to try it! Only down side is their Carne Asada taco can be improved. Overall a great experience

   Fantastic dinner before went to a play. The service was the best. He explained the menu parts we had questions on. He had helpful suggestions. The drinks were the best I’ve had since Spain. The food, oh the food. I can’t choose a favourite as everything was delicious. We tried many thing on the menu, all of it so tasty! Don’t forget to get the dessert menu. Take one home for later.

   Incredible experience each time I've been! The ceviche has the perfect amount of kick to it. A must try!

    I am celiac, have serious tree nut allergy and don’t tolerate lactose- they accommodated me beautifully. The meal and drinks were outstanding! We ordered the shared chef’s selection (adjusted to accommodate my dietary restrictions and my wife’s preferences). The variety of dishes, quality, preparation, presentation, flavours, tastes and aromas were excellent. We are well travelled foodies and this place was a wonderful find. Enjoy!
