The team behind DTSJ favorites - Paper Plane, MINIBOSS, Still O.G. and Alter Ego - elevates the local scene once again with Eos & Nyx, a dual level indoor/outdoor dining experience serving Mediterranean flavors with modern twists.
Drawing inspiration from the Greek deities of dawn and night, this venue provides a culinary journey that transforms as the day unfolds. Guests will savor an array of mezzes, indulgent brunch offerings and grilled seafood and meats, all prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The bar program features inventive craft cocktails, wines and spirits, showcased against a striking double-height, rotating liquor display that spans both levels of the restaurant. The custom design elements create a captivating atmosphere - by day, the space is vibrant and energetic; by night, it transforms into an urban oasis with intimate accent lighting. Eos & Nyx artfully blend the concepts of day and night, presenting a one-of-a-kind elegant, memorable dining experience.

EOS & NYX is off to a pretty strong start. The warm ambiance is a very pleasant surprise for downtown SJ. Food quality was excellent, with a lot of vegetarian/substitution options. The items were prepared thoughtfully with good visual appeal. Plus the complimentary “chefs kiss” little appetizer and chocolate dessert at the end were excellent. Just an observation for improvement: the staff operations team should ask about any food restrictions or allergies at the time of seating. The chefs kiss item was a beef tartare with caviar in a little cone with sesame seeds. For me this was absolutely delicious but we were also dining with a vegetarian family member who could not enjoy the chefs kiss appetizer. The staff should be upfront about asking about any dietary restrictions to improve the dining experience. Overall I would definitely come here again and would highly recommend.

Beautiful space with great cocktails and food. Their octopus was so tender, but the lamb chops were my favorite and perfectly grilled. They also serve brunch! Can’t wait to hang out in their upstairs open mezzanine when the weather gets warmer.

We went for Sunday brunch. The menu is limited but food is tasty and well prepared. The biggest disappointment was that they do not serve decaf coffee. This does not make sense since coffee is served in individual press pots and they also have an espresso machine where they could make decaf americanos. There is a Starbucks across the square so they could have even picked up a bag of decaf grinds. Biscuit with Sir Saucealot was light and tasty, accompanying sausage patty was overly spiced. French omelet with crab and petite potato latkes portion size seemed small. Service was slow and we had to wait a while for our third dish to be delivered.

Great food, service and vibe! The grilled octopus was the most tender and tasty we've ever tasted. The other appetizers, lamb chops and dorado fish were wonderful! The flatbread was served hot and flavorful, although a bit salty. The vibe was great. Be sure to dress warm because the front of d the restaurant is open air, and it was chilly! We'll definitely be back!

Great drinks with our brunch. The Bo Ne Thugs N Harmony was tasty. French toast was OK.

We had to wait 45 minutes even though the restaurant was half empty and continued to be half empty until we were done with our meals. We also never got the green tea we ordered. The guy at the front was very rude and did not seem like he wanted to be there. Definitely not recommend.

Both the food and vibe here is excellent. A must try is their bruschetta with house-made ricotta. Soooo good!
