   The atmosphere at this restaurant is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views overlooking the paddocks at Mount View. The setting strikes a perfect balance between elegance and casual charm, making it a welcoming and comfortable space. Chefs and owners Gabriel and James work their magic both in the kitchen and on the floor, creating a truly memorable dining experience. Whether you're planning a romantic dinner for two or a gathering with friends, this is a place I highly recommend. I'll definitely be back soon!

   The pasta was amazing, the best we have had in a long time. However, the tiramisu was horrible. Half frozen, watery and grainy slop on a plate. The bread for entree was lovely once we finally received the dipping oil at the same time as our main after having to get somebody’s attention. We felt so neglected at our table. We understood the girl was very new but no other staff assisted in ensuring our experience was improved even after she accidentally spilled my grandfathers Shiraz on him, into his water and onto the table. We were not asked how our meal was after a course, we were not offered more drinks when we ran out, we had to ask for plates, spoons, serving spoon and napkins with our dessert. While the staff interacted with other tables and guests whom they clearly knew, we were ignored. It was a shame because neither the service or dessert match the quality of the main course. Asside from this, we did love the dishes and cutlery set but felt the setting was very incomplete without a table cloth or even a placemat at least. Very bare. We did greatly appreciate the manager (assuming) taking $20 off of our bill. Thank you.

   A delightful lunch, chef’s selection. Service outstanding and I liked how the chef explained the contents of each dish and our our waiter selected perfect wine pairings. Thank you both. Lunch with a Peruvian twist was memorable. I will recommend this dinning experience to others. Thank you.

   The food was amazing in both taste and diverse ingredients. If only I’d had more of an appetite to sample more of the menu. Service too was impeccable.

   The Thursday night pasta special is great value with crusty fresh baked breads, choice of pasta, and a light finish of shared Tiramisu. Great for a casual dinner with friends and family. The atmosphere was OK, but the night we attended it was cool and the standard seating is on a terrace with cafe blinds that allowed the cool to enter, the patio heater helped though. The staff were friendly and attentive, with chef coming to speak to our table when the mains were served which was a nice personal touch. Given this restaurant is in a winery in the heart of the Hunter Valley, our group was disappointed in markup of the wines compared to the cellar door prices, though perhaps this was unavoidable from the restaurant's perspective due to not being operated by the winery. This made the final cost of the economical 'specials' night more expensive than expected which we would consider before revisiting.

   We had an amazing lunch at Estancia Osteria, nestled within the stunning Briar Ridge Vineyard. Our table on the balcony offered breathtaking views, setting the perfect backdrop for a delightful meal. We started with the croquettes filled with slow-cooked beef, which were smoky and delicious. With two generous portions, we could have easily shared! For the mains, my husband enjoyed the grilled eye fillet, cooked to perfection and complemented by a rich port wine jus. I opted for the prawn linguine, which was equally generous and bursting with flavor. We paired our meal with the Which Way Pinot Gris from Briar Ridge, which was a lovely match for our dishes. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, but we’re definitely planning to return for their famous tiramisu! My only slight complaint would be the high surcharge on the wine; purchasing from the cellar door next door can save you quite a bit. Overall, though, our experience was fantastic, and we can’t wait to come back!

    We visited for anniversary and read the reviews and felt worth a try. Entrees ok , unusual salad entree dish with lots of peas.... unusual but ok, wife ordered the clam pasta - completely inedible, sauce was pasta water thickened with corn flour, my prawn pasta ok, little or no flavour but not offensive. Side salad baby cos cut off above root level just in salad smothered in peas again. They gave us dessert to try and recover but damage was done. The chef on the day was simply bad no other way to describe.
