   Great food and great service! Special shoutout to Madison who explained the dishes to us with so much detail and enthusiasm! She made our experience memorable! All the entrees she recommend were amazing! We had these and every dish is superb! Warm sesame pancakes, house made trout, avocado chili crisp Charred arrowhead cabbage with whipped allium tofu, salsa matcha and pomegranate. Crispy Pork Belly with burrata, citrus and hazelnut miso Yuzo Kosho Glazed Mount Lassen Trout with broccolini almandine, Japanese curry sultana Chocolate caramel tart with pomegranate pears, coffee rosemary cream

   A truly memorable evening . Highlights were an incredible artwork of dishes where it was very difficult to pick a favorite as so many were outstanding. We had excellent and helpful service. Also the general manager was very friendly and was doing a very good job. Highly recommended

   We had a great dinner experience at the kitchen countertop. Our waiter (Stephan)was very informative, experienced and most hospitable. All of our selections were made to order, beautifully presented and delicious. If you have a reservation you’re warmly welcomed. Absent same, you feel a bit brushed aside. Our repeat experiences suggest making a reservation.

   Superb food & service as always EXCEPT the hostess was the biggest letdown. As the first point of contact, she completely missed the mark—no smile, no greeting, just a cold and unwelcoming presence that almost made us turn around. It’s unfortunate when the front of house doesn’t reflect the excellence coming from the kitchen.

   We've visited Ethel's Fancy four times now and every visit was delightful. The menu, which changes daily, offers innovative dishes full of fresh ingredients and flavor. The wait staff is delightfully quirky and appropriately attentive. After our first visit, every time we dine at Ethel's Fancy, at least one wait person from a previous visit comes to our table to welcome us back and "just say hi." Incredible!

    Excellent food and service with fresh and unique ingredient combinations. Loved that music wasn’t loud and acoustics kept overall noise level low, even with a full restaurant. Rose Lambrusco was delightful.
