   After dining at Fabian’s twenty or so times, with very good results, last night was extremely disappointing. We were completely ignored for over 15 minutes! Our server, whomever he or she was, did not so much as say hello. The restaurant might as well have yelled “get out! “ at my wife and I. We left and went to another restaurant close by and had both great service and food. We left our waitress a generous tip. We won’t be back to Fabian’s.

   My favorite Italian restaurant! Actually, my favorite restaurant! Their salmon is cooked perfectly -- not all the way through, which is hard to find in local restaurants. So moist ( and I love sashimi, so you can image how wonderful it is to find a chef that knows how to cook their daily delivery of seafood), and delicately spiced, served on couscous and broccoli rabe that melts in your mouth. And the service -- ah, perfectly timed and served with a warm smile. Right on the spot when water needs replenished or a dessert needs to e ordered. Yep, it is the little things that count in this restaurant like the noise level is so low that you can have a conversation without raising your voice. I always have a hard time choosing among the desserts -- usually, the creme brulee wins my vote, but I am not fond of pumpkin, this winter season's choice flavor, so the Chocolate Nemesis flour-less cake has been winning lately, over the butterscotch richness of the Pot de Creme or the yummy goodness of the Pear Oil Cake (YES, I have had them all here). The Nemesis is close to fudge, and I am a chocoholic, so this is as close to bliss in texture and taste in a closing act to top off a meal. And if you are not into seafood, the braised short rib beef dinner entree served with veggies is hearty and filling with an amazing sauce. Some day I am going to order the Pork Belly, and I say this often, but so far I usually opt for the salmon.

   Our regular date night spot. Its cozy in the winter and the garden seating is wonderful in the warmer months. The food is always on point.

   This is a great location for a quiet meal catching up with friends. Outdoor area is lovely when temps allow. Great service every time. We are never rushed.

   The pork special was cooked perfectly! Outstanding dish. My fettuccine bolognese was very good. (It varies night to night.) My other comment is about the $25 corkage. That seems rather steep compared to other neighborhood restaurants. Perhaps it should be adjusted.

   The restaurant wasn’t entirely busy; there were or appeared to have 2 main servers. Our waiter didn’t check on us in a timely manner. We waited for more water; I had to waved down another server for an item. The food was fine: portions appeared to be skimpy for the price charged. I invited a guest to celebrate his birthday; had to remind the server we were celebrating & she just offered ice cream. I think the service was limited.

    The best meal I’ve had in years! Delicious cocktail, appetizer, main course, and oh that butterscotch pudding. What a true gem in our community to have such a place like Fabian’s. You won’t be disappointed by the food, service, ambiance, and value. Great place to go for a night out.
