The gumbo was prepared right in front of us ( booked at the bar), the drinks were lovely and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was wonderful, thank you!

We felt the tiny gumbo roux had a burnt taste , the veggie gumbo as well as biscuits did not flavor and the beignets were too doughy. We enjoyed the fried seafood appetizer, Rosie martini and vermentino wine . Overall, food experience was poor . Overall, ambience and service was nice

Truly fun and outstanding the food was amazing and our server Sam was fantastic. The Jazzy combo was a little loud for a small space but that is a minor detail. The food was plentiful, delicious and presented perfectly. The drink menu is varied and unique it reminded us of an upscale New Orleans restaurant.

We had high hopes but unfortunately we did not enjoy the gumbo. My BF liked the fried seafood appetizer platter. Ambience was okay. We do not feel we will be visiting Filé Gumbo again

Service was very good. Food came quick and hot. Having eaten in New Orleans, I know it wouldn't be that good. That said, best bees knees I have had this year, and wonderful bread pudding. Fish and gumbo was good, but not great. Still, worth it for NYC, aka not New Orleans.

This was a great find! The food was delicious and seasoned perfectly! We started with the crawfish bread. I had never had crawfish before, and this was a great appetizer. The bread was very fresh and the combination of seasonings with the crawfish was excellent! I had a daiquiri with a rosemary leave in it and it was refreshing. It was just the right amount of sweet and boy, they did not skimp on the liquor! It was a sipping pleasure. We ordered the gumbo with andouille sausage and crab with rice. The sauce was the right amount of spicy, and the meats were fresh and tasty. I recommend ordering the gumbo for your 1st visit and then try other dishes on your next visit. The ambiance was very soothing and relaxing. This is the type of place you would come to after work for a drink or dinner. My friend and I flew in from Chicago to attend the Tamron Hall show and found this restaurant on Google. What made the visit to this restaurant extra special was that the owner and his wife spent time talking to us. Erin (wife) and Eric (husband). They gave us their back story on how they met, how the restaurant came about and how they appreciated us visiting their restaurant. In addition, our server, Sam, was VERY attentive! We will definitely be back to visit this restaurant for their weekend brunch and jazz. We recommend this restaurant for those visiting New York and for those that live in New York. It is in the Tribeca area.

Service was prompt and friendly, and the food was outstanding. I had Tiny’s Gumbo All-In, and it was probably the best gumbo I’ve ever had. I also enjoyed the Franklin and Church, a terrific version of the Manhattan, and the Beignets for dessert. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

The restaurant’s ambiance was beautiful, and the setup was inviting. The young lady at the front was very friendly and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. I came in hoping to try the spicy shrimp creole, but the server essentially talked me out of it saying it was likely too spicy, without any true understanding of my heat or spice tolerance. So I went with the shrimp étouffée instead. Unfortunately, it didn’t have the bold flavor I was expecting. I spent the evening regretting the choice. My partner ordered a mildly spicy dish that ended up having little to no heat. The standout, however, was the Bourbon bread pudding—it was absolutely delicious and the best part of our meal. I do wish it was served with smaller spoons to better enjoy each bite. If I return, it will be for the cocktails and that amazing dessert.
