From her grandmother's Sunday sauce gracing the chicken, veal and eggplant parmesan to the classic sauce in the pappardelle bolognese, traditional ingredients stand out at Filomena's Italian Kitchen. Johnsen has put her own stamp on the menu with creations like champagne chicken and agro dolce calamari (shrimp and calamari tossed in a sweet tangy glaze with pine nuts, raisins and sweet peppers).In addition to traditional first-course options like caprese angel hair pasta, entree and seafood specialties, Filomena's also serves a selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian pizzas and calzones.     Our server was great. Food just wasn’t what we were expecting. The Bolognese was a creamy sauce almost like a beef stroganoff, lots of cream.  Bread was good meatballs were good. Salad was good. Just the entrées were just a little bit off.

    I really like this restaurant - it’s warm and friendly and good food. I think the best thing about this restaurant is the service- really excellent!! The food is very good, but it’s on the expensive side. There isn’t a glass of wine on the menu under $15 (large selection), and they charge for everything…. We asked for pasta on the side and they charged for adding sauce. We wanted one entree with spinach instead of pasta and they charge for that. But overall good restaurant!

    Love this place, their server is top notch, they go very heavy on the sauce, when I go back I’m going to ask them to go lighter but a very good spot for excellent food

     they experience was wonderful. They have a Deli with all the fresh pasta, homemade and sauces and cookies when we try them it’s excellent, and the food was over the top. The service was great. It was nice. You were able to talk in there. I go back in a heartbeat.

    It’s our go to restaurant! Service is always impeccable. The whole stuff is great, but Hector is our favorite.! Carlos the owner is super sweet. We just love it there!
