   Absolutely lovely meal here, the team looked after us perfectly and whilst there were a couple of thing either not available or only 1 left that just proves to me that the food is fresh and properly sourced, stored, used so not a negative at all! It’s how it should be! Would certainly return asap!

   Great food & nice location. Have never got my head around a service charge as percentage to money spent against number of covers (people) @ table dining ⁉️ Basically a couple spending £200 celebrating a special occasion are charged more than a group of 4 spending £160. Although the restaurant has had twice as much work to do for the table of 4 than the couple dining out spoiling themselves. 🤷🏼‍♂️ I’ve got nothing against a tip or service charge, but restaurants need to get real with how to charge it, surely it’s based on work carried out for that table ⁉️ So a set fee per head of people ? £5 or £7-50 per person not 12.5% of a bill that’s already generated a bigger profit than someone spending less money. I see it currently as a kind of forfeit for splashing out on a night out ❗️ Is it more difficult & time consuming to serve a bottle of expensive white wine than a bottle of house white? According to service charge it is, even though the restaurant has already taken a larger profit on the expensive wine… Think it’s time to start considering a service charge per head rather then percentage (discretionary or not❗️)….

   Lovely Saturday lunch all our food was very good. The service excellent all the staff are very friendly extremely helpful making Fish 55 a very pleasurable of would recommend and we will definitely return again.

   Excellent meal, we chose from the Specials board. I had Crab Aracini followed by the Skate wing ( I always end up having that!). Husband had Sardines on Sourdough followed by the Seafood linguine. All of it was fabulous and for us huge portions.
