   Honestly was hoping for a good experience here on the reviews, but honestly very disappointed. Drinks took forever and when they finally did show up, very weak...you don't pay that much for a weak drink. Food for the value, steak was very good... branzino was good but small..so not much for the price paid. Apps were very small, side plates were very small. Disappointed that they charged so much for so little food. Service was not to be desired. They weren't that busy, so not sure why it was not great. the person who served us rarely came to check on us and only had a refill of tap water once. Also, the ambiance would have been better but lighting was off and booth seats were way too far from the table. For this being a new steakhouse in Fredericksburg, very disappointed.

   They need more time to get their ducks in a row, I think. The tomahawk steak was overpriced and underwhelming but the sides were good. Mixed drinks were meh. $24 for a shot of bourbon when a bottle is $60 at the ABC store is hard to swallow (but not enough that my husband didn't enjoy three!). Mainly, the food needs work. The quality of the dishes that were served did not match the prices. I could tell they used fresh ingredients but it was served to us slightly cold and the sauces had dried on the top, like it was sitting in the window for some time before being served. It's a beautiful restaurant but they now need to put their focus on strengthening the food that leaves the kitchen. I know they're just getting started so I'm not going to say we won't be back. We will give them another try sometime next year.

   Our recent visit to Chophouse was an absolute delight! From the moment we were seated, the experience was top-notch. Gina, our server, was truly outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable. She made sure we had everything we needed and offered great recommendations. The food? Simply amazing. Every dish we tried was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chefs take pride in their craft. If you’re looking for exceptional service and phenomenal food, Chophouse is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back soon!

   Food is ok. They were out of an item, but overall not bad.was it worth the price? No it wasn’t. I still believe Fahrenheit 132 is better when it comes to steak. The ambience of the hotel is amazing. Would I return? Probably not anytime soon.

   Five Chophouse & Bar operates like they have been in existence for many years when they have actually only been opened for less that a year. Extremely professional and well trained staff. Great atmosphere with most people (guests) dressed approprietly for a high class restaurant. Our waitress was outstanding! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and provided great recommendations. The food was cooked to perfection and served at the perfect temperature. We will most definitely be back. The bar has been set very high for other restaurants in the city of Fredericksburg.
