   I am a solo traveler. I booked my reservation and was seated on time. A waitperson came to the table and explained it all then disappeared. I was then mostly ignored until a manager/supervisor noticed that I was sitting waiting with an empty table. I explained that I had been waiting for the check for 20 minutes. They comped me a cup of coffee then I left. I did not leave a gratuity.

   I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant! They ruined my husband’s birthday surprise. I planned it to be a surprise, and at the entrance they asked for his ID to verify his date of birth in order to get the “birthday treat”. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SURPRISE ! Then WE both were told that for him to get the “birthday treat”, his birthday should be 1 day before or after his actual birthday. We went on the 22nd and his birthday is on the 25th. December 22nd was our last night in Quito and I wanted him to have the birthday experience at Fogo de Chao. Regardless, we entered and chose the Churrasco experience. When my husband went to the restroom, I managed to ask a manager to help me with the birthday treat and explained the situation, he agreed to help. Minutes passed by and nothing happened. Then I asked a waitress and she said that once the table was cleared they would come, again nothing. Finally she came and asked me, in front of my husband, if we were ready and that whose birthday was it. Again, surprise ruined. After that she brought the slice of cake and the candle, and told us to wait for the people that sing. We waited like 10 minutes and they did not come, the waitress told us that the “gauchos” were busy and couldn’t come. At that point, I just gave up and asked for the check. The “birthday surprise” cost me $240.75 with not a good experience. At least the food was good.

   Fue una experiencia excelente , el menú estuvo perfecto y el servicio totalmente de acuerdo al nivel del lugar . Lo recomendaría sin ningún problema
