9pm- Well, that was a bad opening night. (In 12 hours this went from 5 stars to two!) Recommend the bar & bakery, and the appetizers, which were very good. Drinks including the red wine & my gin martini were excellent. Main entrées served were a total disaster. Here are the details... it is a roller coaster ride. Came in with a 7:30 dinner reservation & told it would be 15 minutes late. At 8pm a confused host took us to an occupied table. So we ended up in a loud area where the waitress seemed to be overbooked. We had long waits between visits in a very loud area, that while decorated well... We walked away disappointed. I had a martini (up), spouse had a glass of the founders wine, & teen had Arnold Palmer iced tea - all of which were good, well flavored and the tea came with free refills. Yay. We ordered our entrées and appetizers - the shrimp avocado sushi roll appetizer was extremely good that had fresh sliced avocado and fried shrimp, nori - with cucumber & very nice sauces. Very nice flavor to it. Good sauces to go along with it and nicely presented. Then we got to the entrées, which were so bad- I can't even describe it accurately. The fried chicken in the farmer's platter was tasteless. The barbecue ribs were essentially steamed with some BBQ sauce thrown over it. The brisket was like a bad beef pot roast . And my jambalaya was so overcooked- it was pathetic. The shrimp were the only edible part of the entree. The rice & chicken were like a congee, and the andoiulle was burned black & just thrown on top with some pickled hot peppers. I'll avoid that until the chef brings me a replacement & an apology. I really don't know what the cooks were thinking, but that mains part of the meal with the replacement fettuccine carbonara (which was a mis-delivery at first, and probably was someone else's red sauce dish) was just so horrid - that I can't recommend the mains at all. So miscues on all three of the main entree items that were delivered.

My husband and I are so ecstatic about this location opening in our Old Town neighborhood. We no longer have to travel to the Tyson's Corner location. The food and service was absolutely delcious. We love the decor. Founding Farmer's did not disappoint. Today was the grand opening. Kudos to LaGina our server. Top notch service considering the volume!! Five stars across the board. If you have room for dessert, please try the strawberry cheesecake donut!! Yummy!!!

This restaurant is so beautiful! Decor is fresh and colorful. A “HAPPY PLACE TO DINE”! Love-Love-Love it!!! Attended opening day and everyone was so welcoming and professional. Enjoyed our meal immensely!!! We tried to get there at 6:30am to stand in line to get a free tote and one(1) year of free coffee - however, we had a flat tire and had to change our reservation to 12:30pm. However, that mishap didn’t stop us from attending the Grand Opening. Being Senior Citizens, we made it there safely and was seated right away. We enjoyed every moment in that new and beautiful restaurant. Will be dining there more frequently since it’s closest to our home - Great job!

A fabulous opening. Crowd was around the block at 6:30 AM when I pulled up. Had reservations (thank goodness) but sat at the bar an ate. Had the whole bar to myself for breakfast. Ty, my server, was part story teller, barista and docent. Was glad to be her first client of the day. Took a tour of the Garden Room, with the morning Sun. No words. The oak table is a must see.
