This was our first visit to Frenchie, and it certainly will not be our last. We already agreed that this place would be added to our regular roster of favorite places to dine.

While the ambiance was lovely and the service fine the food was inedible. I ordered lamb ribs that were rock hard (knife couldn’t get through) and ratatouille that had raw eggplant. I reached out to the restaurant and they only gave me lip service. Guess they don’t care if people had a bad meal. Would not recommend and won’t go back.

Quite disappointed in my first dining experience at Frenchies. Menu offered very little of French cuisine, and what I did have lacked taste and presentation. While service was friendly and efficient Frenchies unfortunately does not warrant another visit.

We visited Frenchie on the earlier side of a Saturday night just before it got busy. The service was very quick and we felt well attended to in terms of frequency, but it was challenging to hear our server. Two people in our party of four had serious food allergies (one with peanuts and the other dairy and egg- neither can have cross contamination) and we were a little taken aback at how nonchalant the server seemed about it. I had even called ahead to discuss it in advance to make sure it wouldn’t be a problem and in the moment I was really worried and felt invalidated by how casual he was about it. That being said, they did accommodate it easily without issue as many of the dishes are made in their own pan and so with that I’d recommend for someone with dairy/egg/nut allergies because the menu is very easily adapted to them. We ordered oysters, tuna tartare, and octopus to start and the flavors were quite good. The octopus was tender but a little slimy/gummy around the outside. Had better, had worse! My husband and I ordered the halibut and it was overcooked but again great flavors, loved the beet hummus puree! The hot vegan bowl was reportedly delicious as well. Overall I thought the food was priced comparable to similar restaurants, but probably would come back just for drinks and apps in the future as there’s plenty of dinner spots with slightly better food. In terms of ambience I loved how cute the space was and the decor, but the bathrooms left a lotttt to be desired (ew!! reminded me of a college dive bar that needed some cleaning) and the lighting in the restaurant was a little bright for my liking but I’m just being nit-picky on my typical vibe/preferences. Definitely worth a pop-in if you’re in the area but wouldn’t say it’s a “must visit” and I probably won’t rush back.

Excellent food and excellent service. It does get loud inside. They do have some outdoor seating if the weather is nice. Reservations highly recommended for Friday and Saturday nights.
