Gaijin Sushi is the creation of chef/director, Michal Kubiak.

Having opened in March 2018, and receiving excellent reviews, including the Guardian in our first month, we are proud to offer a unique experience. You can sit around our sushi bar, which sits 10 and watch our chefs creating the sushi right before your eyes! Or if you would like to enjoy with friends we have two tables that can seat up to 6 people.

Please feel free to ask questions, such are "Where is the fish from?" we love answering them!

The Omakase experience was absolutely incredible. The food quality is the best in town. Really love the atmosphere as it’s spacious and moody. You can chat with the chef for the best combo of sauce and wasabi. The restaurant manager is super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

THE best sushi in Birmingham By far. Quality, flavour, service all impeccable. Sanjay was very knowledgable and chatty and the omakase tasting menu was a really treat of flavours and variety for £35 each. My only suggestion would be to make the omakase more clear on the website as it’s difficult to find price/menu and how to book correctly on your website which is a shame as it’s such a great opportunity for people to experience your delicious food & skills.

We had an awesome time celebrating my wife’s 35th birthday at Gaijin and even though we had a young one and didn’t book for the Omakase originally, they made arrangements for us to have that and the food was awesome. Shoutout to the server who was very friendly to my 6 year old and constantly engaging him while the Chef keeps dishing out yummy food. P.S. We aren’t from England or anywhere nearby. We are from Singapore.

Today is my 10th wedding anniversary and I had omakase here with my husband. It was so nice to have soft and fresh sushi and food at a reasonable price. I recommend it.
