   This was our first time at this restaurant but definitely won’t be our last. We’ve eaten at a good number of Indian restaurants, and this one is amongst the vey best. I typically get Baigan Bhartha (baked and mashed eggplant with spices) as my go-to dish. This was the best I have ever had. My wife had the fish and chips. It was also outstanding with a wonderful combination of spices both on the fries and in the fish batter. This is a restaurant that won’t disappoint, and should be visited if you are in the area.

   A great place for an Indian meal in DC, but native Indians and Sri Lankans will likely miss the really authentic taste, especially if you are looking for the real heat levels (Goat Vindaloo was good, but even the "Indian hot" was not). Nonetheless, the place is energetic, the hostess is warm and attentive, and was a hit with my non-southern Asian colleagues (Pakoras, Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Dahl Makhani and naans). Gets busy and noisy after about 6.30pm (get there early or much later) and don't plan for intimate chats. Make reservations.

   Creative cocktails and homey, comforting dishes. The service was warm and attentive. I had a delicious goat curry, but half of our party were vegetarians and had plenty of great choices. I would give the total experience 4.5 stars…we had a lovely evening.
