One of the attractions to having dinner at the Grand Concourse is to dine in the main dining room with the beautiful architecture. We made a reservation, only to be told when we arrived that we would have to eat at the adjacent Gandy Dancer bar, to make way for a holiday party that reserved the main dining room. Could they not have told us that in advance. Why would you accept reservations for that date, if you knew it would not be available. It was very disappointing. My husband and I ordered the Caesar salad and crab cakes. The salad was nicely dressed and was crisp. The crab cakes were a good size and texture with lump crab meat. The side of asparagus was fresh, but the rice was underwhelming. The sourdough bread for the table was a nice touch, served warm with butter. The server was very accommodating and nice. The prices are on the higher side, which you could justify if you were in the main dining room amongst the high ceilings and beautiful staircase and decorations. As oppose to a dark room in a crowded booth. We will mostly likely not return for dinner.

We had a wonderful dinner after attending a Pittsburgh Steelers game. We used Open Table but the dining room was actually closed for an event. This was disappointing but we ate in the pub and enjoyed it. It was not busy and the service was a little slow to start but once the waitress got our drinks the evening went well. Food was amazing as always! We love to eat here when we visit Pittsburgh!

The Grand Concourse is always the best brunch in Pittsburgh! The variety of food, the tastiness of the food and the beautiful atmosphere combined to make this an exceptional brunch experience. I try to come several times a year, but always during the holidays. My friends and I had a great time today. It was the perfect way for us to celebrate the holidays together!

Seeing the building was wonderful. The donuts are PHENOMENAL, but I found the rest of the Sunday brunch mediocre.

Beautiful surroundings. Excellent service from Reed ! Too many loud Steeler fans dressed in game day clothing that brought down the ambiance. There SHOULD be a dress code enforced. Most food was good, some great items, some total misses. Good Mimosas to start. A fine tradition in our city , and everyone should try it !
