   All aspects great: Menu, happy hour deals, cocktails, ambiance, wine selection, service, and most importantly food. Had a really good time.

   The halibut was way too dry. Perhaps, you needed a sauce – – maybe butter garlic. But the fish was like sawdust. Love the polenta. And my old-fashioned was excellent. But the fish…

   Michael -We are so sorry that you did not enjoy our fish dish on Valentine's Day. We certainly wish you would have asked to speak to a member of management when you were dining with us as most issues may be corrected on the spot rather than reading about it later in a review such as we are doing now.    Since it was Valentine’s Day, we knew the restaurant would have a prefix menu. Service was good but not anything above and beyond normal. We had ordered the fish and filet meals. The fish was slightly overcooked and the risotto cake was odd as it lacked creaminess inside. The filet though prepared medium rare was slightly difficult to cut into with its crusted sear. The strawberry dessert cake was extremely dry. We have visited other times and have always been pleased with the dining and food experience. This was somewhat a disappointing experience.

   Really, really good food. The bacon wrapped filet was probably the best I’ve ever had; sides, salad and desserts were all delicious. This place is a keeper.

   Always enjoy dining at Grand Street in Lenexa - we like the atmosphere, and always have excellent service - professional, friendly, attentive and prompt. Normally, we enjoy the food - but would admit that we frequently rely upon Bill's Chicken Salad for our entree', so what's NOT to like? This time, I ordered the Chicken Picatta, which was fine - the salad greens were fine, and the chicken was mostly tender, except for the tips, which were very tough and tasted as though they'd been overcooked. Still, the flavor was very good and I enjoyed the meal. My wife ordered the Red Argentinian Shrimp pasta, and it was almost inedible. The shrimp was VERY spicy and incredibly salty. After having our meals on the table for 15 min, she had eaten so little of her entree' that I asked her if something was wrong with it. She offered me a taste and I couldn't believe it. The saltiness overpowered any flavor the dish might have had, plus it set my mouth on fire! My wife is so confrontation-averse that she rarely, if ever, sends a meal back to the kitchen - but in this case that's exactly what she should have done. Such an unusual experience for us to be so disappointed with a dinner meal at Grand Street! Bill Hicks 913-915-5246

   We went to Grand Street to celebrate my husband's birthday. Tried two appetizers -- the deviled bacon and eggs and the tuna tartare -- both were delicious. The side Caesar salads were prepared with fresh, crisp greens and just the right amount of dressing. Our entrees were all delicious and priced at what you'd expect. Our server, Piper, was pleasant and friendly. She was attentive without hovering. The Phyllo Brownie was served to the birthday boy and it was so yummy. We also had apple pie and it was quite tasty too. Will make a return visit!

    We had a great experience at dinner. The Hot Lips cocktail is dangerous because it's so delicious that you don't even taste any alcohol. The pork chop was also amazing. I'll definitely be heading back again for dinner soon.
