   I've been going here for 20 years. When you walk in for the first time, it really is a sight to behold. This is the epitome of long established, respected by everyone in Boston steakhouse.

   Flavor of all the food was perfect. But temperature was off. French onion soup was just hot enough to enjoy, but should be hotter. Same this with mashed potatoes but even worse. The potatoes were lukewarm and got cold within 5 minutes of being on the table. Needs to be way hotter. But overall an amazing tasting dinner with great service and atmosphere! Just need to keep that soup and the potatoes in the oven a little longer!!

   Service was absolutely terrible. We were seated in a secluded room that had no ambience. We decided to stay in that room because the main restaurant was extremely loud and we wanted to be able to hear the conversation with our friends. After we placed our order our server didn’t return until we were finished eating. When she finally came, she did not notice that my husband did not eat his meal, as it was not prepared properly. I had to point out that she never came back to ask how our food was or if we needed anything else, and that we finished our bottles of water and nobody brought us more or even asked if I wanted another cocktail. Normally I would not complain, but in this case there were so many things that went wrong and I was so annoyed that I had to speak up. The manager came over but it was clear that he didn’t really care. They comped us two side dishes but it did not make up for the horrible experience, service, and lack of caring.

   The restaurant needs to do some work to lower the overall noise level. Very difficult to have a conversation. MUST install soundproofing!

   Let’s just call a spade and spade and say you’re going to spend money on this restaurant regardless. The service was absolutely phenomenal at the the beginning and towards the end absolutely trash. The food was able to make up for it. In all 7/10.
