   Coming from NYC we can't help but to compare the food. The ground floor is very crowded and reserved for people familiar with the restaurant. However the ground floor from area with the bar is extremely crowded. Be prepared robot be greeted in a friendly manner but the service was good once seated. The food was very expensive in comparison to Milan or Florence and other restaurants in the area with better quality food. We have tried the Cipriani experience in Mullen places around the world and unfortunately we are always disappointed. There is just something very commercial and bland about the food and more complicated than necessary. This restaurant is not a MUST DO in Venice unless you want to try to spot someone perceived as important. The fillet of sole was not fantastic and I can't be certain it was sole. The ossobuco was good. The desserts reminded me of a good truck stop coffee shop in NYC. Check tour bill they overcharged us for drinks we did not have.

   Absolutely the best polenta and beef liver I’ve ever had. Drinks were awesome as well.

   Our server was outstanding. Her knowledge of everything was wonderful. The Bellini was excellent. I am so sorry but the food was so-so. The warm bread served was good. I felt crammed in. I requested a nice table for my birthday and was placed next to the server station. Too many other lovely Venice options for food. I do not mind to pay anything for great food!

   We made a reservation at Harry's based on a friend's recommendations -- she had lived in Italy for several years, and had recommended we dine at Harry's when we visited Venice. It did not live up to our expectations related to the prices. There was nothing terribly "wrong" with the meal, the service, or the atmosphere -- but for the prices that we paid, we expected something more special. The food was okay -- probably the only real negative was that everything was oversalted. The service was okay as well -- not overly attentive, but not absent. It was definitely a tight "cozy" atmosphere -- our table was less than 12" away from the neighboring tables, which made all conversations open to everyone. All in all, it was just an ok experience. But, given that our single meal for 4 people cost 4x what you would expect to pay at a quality neighborhood trattoria, I do not feel this is a good "value" for the money. If you want to say that you've "dined at Harry's", save yourself the money and have a drink/dessert there in order to get the experience.

    Come sempre l'Harry's bar è una tappa obbligatoria a Venezia , sia che tu ti voglia fare un buon aperitivo, il Bellini non può mancare, sia che tu voglia sederti al ristorante. Come sempre una certezza! Super!
