   Overall nice place for dinner . Service was a little slow for a premium restaurant, had to call them over a few times to take our order , drinks orders etc but overall good food in a lovely setting .

   Visiting Hawksmoor on Christmas Eve was a disappointing experience. While the building ambiance was charming and the Peanut Butter Louis was a highlight, the rest of the evening fell short of expectations, particularly for the price paid. Starting with drinks, the Espresso Martini with Baileys was an immediate letdown. There was barely a trace of Baileys in the flavor, though the drink’s color suggested a token splash had been added. Worse still, the glass wasn’t even filled to a standard level. The second round of drinks fared no better, arriving three-quarters full. The starters were equally underwhelming. The bone marrow arrived with bread burned black, scant marrow, and an overwhelming amount of onions seemingly used to mask the lack of marrow. Both guests who ordered the potted beef and bacon found it unappetizing, describing the cold, fatty top layer as “vile.” For mains, the kitchen managed to mix up orders completely. My partner and I were served striploins instead of ribeyes, while our guest received a ribeye instead of the striploin they’d ordered. Feedback on the hake was similarly negative, with no standout qualities to redeem it. Desserts offered little reprieve. The apple pie was mediocre, served with a custard so watery it detracted from the dish. Despite the inviting ambiance and the success of the Peanut Butter Louis, the overall quality of food and service was severely lacking. Hawksmoor’s reputation didn’t live up to the reality, and the high prices only added to the disappointment. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet expectations, and I would hesitate to return.

   Hele goede steak, goede leuke kelner. Drankjes duurde wat lang. Kaasplankje was fantastisch.

   Delighted. Came here for our Christmas dinner date, and as always, didn't disappoint. Food, ambiance & service are fantastic. Easily among our favourite steak restaurants

   Gorgeous space and good service; but the food was a total letdown. My steak was terribly overcooked, same for my friend’s burger. It’s a steak place so they had one job, and failed.

   Second time to Hawksmore, very disappointing experience. Staff offhand to the point of being rude. We waited 25 minutes for pre-dinner drinks which never arrived, bathrooms in poor condition. Decided to leave before the evening was completely ruined.  For a Resturant of this calibre I would expect more.

   Drinks before meal were lovely, then we were seated, there was a draft at our table. Starter beef tartar was delicious, main course came under cooked, sent it back and then it was fine. Waitress was lovely.

   Hawksmoor is lovely. Attentive staff. Delicious cocktails. Beautiful setting. The food however is over priced. When you spend comparable money in other restaurants you get more bang for your buck in terms of quality. We still had a lovely night. But I wouldn't be rushing back

    We recently visited and left with mixed feelings. While the food was enjoyable, the pricing felt completely out of sync with what was offered. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was attentive, but the steep prices on both food and drinks made it hard to fully appreciate the meal. Sunday roast down the local much better quality and value.
