Hinnies is a relaxed, warm and friendly neighbourhood restaurant serving the comfort food we all like to eat - rustic and hearty Geordie-influenced classics made properly from scratch using local and seasonal produce to give a real taste of our beloved North East.     5 of us visited for the first time today 18th dec. We had a mixture of meals from the Christmas menu, everything was perfect, the restaurant has a lovely cosy feel and we all thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon, we will definitely visit again.

    Could not fault this restaurant Food & service were excellent My only criticism would be a bit too much gravy on my plate for my liking so next time I will ask for small jug

    Best Christmas dinner in a restaurant Everyone in our group found the food delicious from the gravy, the veg and the meat. Couldn’t fault it. The wine pairing was also a nice touch. Had to ask for cranberry sauce. Atmosphere was a lovely buzz

    A very nice looking restaurant that's great value for the quality of food you get. Portion size is just right to be able to enjoy a full 3 course meal without feeling stuffed nor wanting more. I noticed the dessert I had (creme brullee) had less sugar making a it more palatable than the overly- sweet versions elsewhere. A regular favourite of mine .
