   I made a reservation for my husband and myself, specifically choosing the dining room option as opposed to the high top option. When we arrived, we were told there were no available tables in the dining room but they could seat us at a high top. Apparently a very large group had unexpectedly taken up the tables so it was either wait for an undetermined time to be seated or eat in the bar area. We opted for the high top in the bar. They had a live duo playing and they were great but between the close proximity to the high tops on either side of us and the music, it made conversation between us difficult. We shared a Caesar salad that was delicious though a bit dry. I had the filet mignon with an au poivre sauce on the side and it was fabulous. Cooked exactly as I requested and cut like butter. My husband had the King Salmon and it too was spectacular. Cooked perfectly and delicious. He ordered the creme brulee and it had the perfect crack as creme brulee should. Our server was Dennis and he was wonderful. It seems he had all the high tops and yet was attentive and warm. The prices are high but the caliber of the food makes it worth it. The only thing really over priced was my drink which was Titos up with a splash of club soda. Typically it runs $12-$15 but they charged $20 each. The ambiance was very nice. The contrast of the modern with touches of the old fire house felt very cosmopolitan. Not sure if we would return, on the chance our reservation request would not be honored but possibly for a happy hour where we expect to sit in the bar would be nice.

   Our apps, soups and dinner were all lukewarm. My steak was cooked perfect but it seemed like it sat for too long. The same with the sides. Very disappointing. Our waiter was just ok. Seemed annoyed. Runner was great. Very friendly.

   The inside is beautiful and interesting. The menu is varied. The servers seem inexperienced. The table was not cleared of appetizers before the entrees were served and we had to then wait for the right silverware and sharing plates. The waygu steak was delicious and well seasoned. The tuna appetizer was delicious. Burger was interesting but a little over the top. Will go back.

   The service was good but the food was just ok but nothing to write home about. The food was expensive compared to the same dishes elsewhere. We are going to go again in case this was an off night.

   It was our first time at Hook and Ladder but it won't be our last. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was lovely. We were one of the first tables of the night to be seated and I wasn't thrilled about being placed right across from the restroom but that was the only negative aspect of our evening. The spicy tuna starter was amazing and I had the Chilean Sea Bass signature dish which was out of this world! My husband had a steak and caesar salad both of which he raved about, and we shared the creamed spinach which was also delicious. We were so full that we couldn't even attempt dessert. Definitely a place we will visit again!!

   We had a great date night here! The food was so good. I highly recommend the spicy tuna bites and beef rib. The drinks were really good and the staff was super friendly! We will be back.

   It was a beautiful venue. Server was not very nice and prices way too high. But the company I was with and the venue made up for it

    Great vibes , food took a while to come out it was two of us and with the tip it came to $330 it was a vibe maybe a little over price menu is limited
