Off the beaten path away from tourist traps, only one block off Front Street. FREE HUGE PARKING LOT. Outside of building is currently being remodeled, but inside is well-decorated, clean & comfortable.

Our lively atmosphere and tropical outdoor patio offer a fabulous experience combined w/ fresh island sourced products. Tues-Sat 5-8:15 pm. Live Music from 6-8 pm. Brunch 10 am - 3 pm, Tues - Sat. (Take-out only May 12-31) Staff shortage.

Unfortunately, we were unable to dine at the hungry coyote as they lost their entire business in the horrible Maui Lahaina fire. Wish them the best and hope they are able to build their business back up. Prayers.

Arrived to no customers. Interior felt cluttered and unclean. Limited menu. We waited 10 minutes and no one came to take our order. We left, so can not comment on the food. Everything else HORRIBLE. Seemed very odd.

A nice little diamond in the rough. The restaurant is off the main Street, you have got to look for it, and seating capacity is limited, but the excellent food, service, and friendly staff make for a very enjoyable experience. We definitely plan on returning in the future.

Overall food was really good. Ambience wasn’t what we envisioned for a Maui restaurant. Area was a little run down and underwhelming. Service was adequate. I’d go back for the food but the rest of it would keep me from doing that given all the other options out there.

Aloha and thank you for your feedback and for supporting local. We are a family owned and operated small business. We are in a mall being updated after Covid closure. We in no way purport to be an ocean fronting high end tourist attraction, rather comfort food, Aloha service, BYOB for affordable drinks, comfort food made from island resources. A place locals come for good, healthy food. Most tourist envision drinks with little umbrellas in a coconut on a beach. We are not that. Aloha!

My wife and I thought we would try it out as we are avid Mexican food fans and looking for something casual. Overall it seemed to have good reviews. We really wanted to love this place but the food is seriously not great and the menu is surprisingly limited. Started with chips, guacamole and salsa. Chips were ridiculously over fried and a good portion burnt. Guacamole was okay but the salsa was simply bad. Obvious they use Tabasco or Cholula in their salsa as the taste was unmistakable and overall was without substance at all. I ordered the 5 star enchiladas, as called out on their menu. If these were 5 stars it was Out of 20. 3 corn tortillas with chicken inside and golden over like a taco and covered with a bland verde sauce and cream. It was soupy looking and just plain flavorless. Service was really good however and very prompt and super friendly. Other than this, a very poor experience. Sorry guys, I was just hoping for something more.

Thank you for feedback. In the same night, we received 5-star reviews from guests. Perspective: the optimist sees the donut, the pessimist sees the hole. It costs 0$ to leave a kind review for a small, local family owned business. We use locally sourced products, no jar or can. Salsas made from scratch, so no preservatives at all. Our server and manager would have done everything to make your experience positive, you just had to inform them. Love is the substance of all life. We use love.

It's not fancy - but we had a delicious, memorable evening at Hungry Coyote! It's in a strip mall near the Lahaina outlet stores. Very casual! Servers were friendly and attentive. My wife has a sensitivity to onions and garlic - they made her a version of their fresh catch Mahi Mahi special that was perfect. Plus guacamole with onion salsa on the side so she and I could both enjoy! You bring your own alcohol - I brought tequila and they mixed me 2 perfect tropical margaritas. We took a cheesecake home with us for dessert. Our dinners were among the best we've had in Lahaina and we'll be back for sure!
