Inspired by the rich culinary traditions of Spain, Chef Matt Daughaday's inspired cuisine at Idol Wolf takes a playful approach to tapas style dining by combining local and seasonal ingredients with classic Iberian sensibilities.
The menus seamlessly blend traditional takes on Spanish classics, with drinks and dishes that have a distinctly Midwestern point of view – the result is a shared drinking and dining experience that is uniquely craveable, and truly memorable.

We really look forward to experiencing the paella on the menu at Idol Wolf. When they first brought the food, we could smell a burnt smell and the rice was undercooked. Upon further inspection, the food in fact was burnt! We sent it back and they brought out another dish of paella, and it was not much better.

Our brunch on Saturday was delicious and we look forward to returning. The menu was varied, the tortilla and heuvos rotos were so good, arriving at the table quickly, and piping hot. Enjoyed the side of country toast, hot tea. Lovely hotel, attentive staff.

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day date at Idol Wolf. The ambiance was wonderful. Modern and elegant, fun without being too noisy, and the service was so attentive. The food was amazing too. Serrano ham and Chicken of the Woods tapas, and a tasty and beautiful paella as our main course. Big props for having a good NA beverage selection as well!

Every course was better than the next. It was great to see season staff at the bar in Mason and Camron at the bar & Mic in the restaurant. Paula was a new server to us and brought a lot of energy. We had fun with her!

I have to say last night’s experience at dinner was charming. It’s nice to see that. There is a Spanish restaurant that mimics Spain itself. We started with the ham and chipotle chips. That was incredible as well. I had Caesar salad. That was delicious. I had the Wolf burger, which was very good. Of the two other people with me, one had the octopus and potatoes, which was outstanding. The other person had half chicken, which was delicious. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in their experience of the cuisine offered there. That’s just my humble opinion of how it is for me. Thanks.

Pretty good Tapas food in St. Louis. In a cool hotel and dining room pretty modern. Service pretty good except I got the wrong check. Eventually, I got the right check. Will Go there again. Cocktails were fabulous. Good bartenders!

We had 6 guys and we ordered 2 of each tapa and 2 bottles of Spanish wine to pass around and share. It was a fun night. The food and wine were excellent, and our server, Mick, was a more than competent host and guide. It was an all around enjoyable experience.

This morning, I was warmly greeted and escorted to my reserved table at Idol Wolf - 21c. Paula made expert recommendations for cocktails and brunch in detail. My guest and I followed her suggestions for foods and flavor combinations and were amazed. We left agreeing that brunch should be served in courses with well curated cocktails in a beautiful museum like atmosphere. created Thank you to Paula! I feel like a Queen for the day. I will be back for dinner soon.

This is my second time at Idol Wolf. I love the ambience and the artwork! The food was pretty good but several of the items we ordered were not available. Also, it took over 2 hours to get one of our food items. The server seemed slightly annoyed with us even though we hadn’t complained at all. This made me feel uncomfortable because we felt like we were bothering our him anytime he came to our table. The manager came to our table to let us know the food would take another 20 mins (we had already waited over an hour at this point) and the food didn’t come to our table for another 45 mins. When it finally came, the food was burnt and tasted as such. To make up for the several let-downs, the offered us free desert and took half the price of our late item off our bill. Overall, our experience was not what we had wanted and I left feeling embarrassed for picking the restaurant. Our first experience here was much better which only made this visit even more disappointing.

Hello- Thank you for the comments as we are always striving to be better. We too love the ambience and artwork. It seems that we did not manage the issues with your last visit, and for that we are sorry. Hopefully we can invite you back to enjoy us as our guest another time to show you our best foot forward. We hope to see you soon.
