   Food was very good although a tad on the salty side. The presentation was terrible, just a steak on a plate. Their sides are family style but there was barely enough to give each of the 4 people in our party a SMALL serving. One person ordered a virgin cocktail and was told they couldn't make it. Seriously? We ordered an appetizer and were told they were out of it. This was at 7:30 on a Saturday and they ran out of a popular appetizer? One person ordered a coffee at the end of the meal and it was never delivered. I feel like a manager should have checked on us after we were told no on the virgin drink and appetizer, but no one even asked us how things were when we left. For a $400 meal, it was overall a disappointment.

   Huge fan of III Forks in Plano. Had an outstanding dinner with awesome service by Mike. Our steak was cooked perfectly to order, the Ahi Tuna appetizer and sides were all excellent. Only thing that could have been better was the location of our table, and this is nitpicking. I’m just not a fan of the bar area at this nice of a restaurant.

   III Forks is a favorite restaurant of ours. The food is fabulous, the service is impeccable (thanks Diego), and the experience is elegant. But…the presentation is no where close to what it used to be. Used to…the steak was presented with cream corn, snap peas, and mashed potatoes. Today - everything is separate. The food tastes great but the presentation lacks so much…it is sorta like - WHY?! I am sure the reason is money - but - serving a steak at III Forks without at least a dollop of cream corn, peas and mashed is a travesty! I don’t mind paying for the sides that my wife and I shared, but we were both disappointed in the presentation. Come on III Forks…presentation matters. Put a dollop of the vegetable medley just as a taste and your presentation would be nice again. Then I can still choose what other sides I want - and willing to pay for - but don’t totally destroy a key part of the III Forks ambiance - almost extravagance. Still 5 stars but we missed the presentation of our steaks…with the total III Forks experience.

   III Forks now feels like just another Dallas steak house. Discontinued cream corn and snap peas as included sides was the first bummer. The steak was noticeably tough (steak frites entre) and came without the peppercorn sauce I ordered. No fish of the day, no bread pudding, and only a single bottle of our preferred wine continued the bummer train. Perhaps the prior location/operation was just that good.

    Probably the best steak I’ve had in my life. The garlic compound butter over my 8oz filet mignon was perfect. Service was great, thanks to our server Nick. Waters were always filled. My family and I were celebrating two birthdays, my father and aunt. The staff made sure to make them feel special with a custom birthday card and birthday desserts. Overall, amazing service from everyone the night of March 29th! Definitely will be coming back for another celebration.
