    All of our food was lukewarm as was my cappuccino. We ordered a 1/2 carafe of wine. One full glass was brought to the table for us to pour into our 2 wine glasses. Bread was promised as we waited for our friends to arrive, but that never happened. The ice cream dish my friend ordered for dessert was melting as it was placed atop my friend’s bunched-up napkin Our table was never scraped clean of crumbs between courses. This was not the elegant dining experience we were looking forward to experiencing and that we have had for years at Il Fornaio.

    Our party of 4 had an excellent experience at Il Fornaio for New Year's Eve dinner. As usual, Marcello and his able staff did an outstanding job, despite the restaurant being totally packed (including all the outdoor tables and the tables in what used to be the bakery). The service was spot-on (even from the very pleasant fellow who kept us with a continuous flow of iced tea!), and our waitperson was efficient and very nice. I cannot say enough positive things about the kitchen staff, who prepared our dinners with the utmost attention. All the delicious food was served just when we expected it, and beautifully plated, despite what must have been a chaotic night for the cooks. Bravo to Il Fornaio! Excellent food and service at great prices. Highly recommended for any occasion, whether a regular lunch or dinner, or a special event.

    Duck was very good but very difficult to cut with knives and hard to get off bone. Would be better as duck breast. Fish was very good.

    Food was good, service was terrible. It started with a long wait after we arrived, with no server nor water showing up. We had to hunt down help. Another table in our area also had the same problem. Food service was not inconsistent....main course arrived while we were still eating appetizers, we had to ask for certain items e.g. wine menu, desert menu and parmesan for our pasta. Also had one item ordered not show up, but fortunately we weren't charged. Our server is a veteran of Il Fornaio, and we would have expected better. Possibly they are understaffed, or burned out.

    Excellent menu selections. Quality service. My wife and I enjoy the low noise level so we can have a conversation. Too many local restaurants are very noisy such as Eddie V

    A waiter, Jose has been wonderful. Several times I had Jose for our waiter but he is very warm, friendly and professional. He always our salad into 2 separate plates since we told him that we share and he does it without asking. He also offered more bread. When we are leaving he offered to get a validation on our parking ticket. A little of lots of thoughts 🤙🏽Bravo 👏🏽 Jose is awesome!!
