Housed in a glorious Southern mansion in the heart of Music City, Jimmy Kelly’s continues to be the standard by which all American steakhouses are measured. Founded in 1934 while the country was in the throes of the Great Depression and just one year removed from the repeal of prohibition, Jimmy Kelly made a promise to himself and his diners. Simply put, he would serve a great steak, a generous portion of whiskey and insure the service was always attentive. Making good on that promise has been the cornerstone of the restaurant’s success and enabled it to survive and flourish. Now over 80 years later and operated by the third generation of Kellys, it has earned a reputation as one of the grand old restaurants not only in Nashville but the entire southeast. Come anytime and enjoy a great steak and a generous portion of whiskey!

The New Year's Eve special was a 16oz Prime Rib and was excellent. I think it should be added to a monthly menu. We paired that with Brussel Sprouts which are a must try and the Creamed Corn Brulee. Our appetizer was the Thick Cut Bacon and did not disappoint. Our server, Scott, was excellent and attentive. I think the sides are a little pricey but they are very good. Jimmy Kelly's is always a great choice for a special occasion experience.

We had an enjoyable experience, food was delicious and Jessica, our server was great. Only negative aspect was the food wasn’t hot to serve but taste wonderful anyways.

Loved our first experience especially the food and our server! While I loved the ambience, the tables were a bit close together. Felt like everyone could hear my husband and my conversation!

A major disappointment. This used to be a great steakhouse. First, they sat our party of four at a table for two. The server was overwhelmed. There were 5 tables in a small room. The Lemon Drop had a salted rim. When we asked for a new one they just poured the same drink in a sugar crusted glass. The Lemon Drop was salty. Dinner was ok. The steaks tasted good but were not hot or warm. Could barely handle the food on the small table. Ordered desert. Chocolate Cake. It was dry and tasted old. Server got better when guests left. Jimmy Kelly's charges $89.00 for a Porter House. They should be better than this

The two couples thoroughly enjoyed our time together and dinner tonight! Jimmy was an excellent waiter and very attentive. The meal was superb, and Ms. Ray was very thoughtful and delightful! Jimmy Kelly's Steakhouse is AMAZING! We will definitely be returning again real soon...
