   Joey D’s Oak Room is a classic! It’s been there for years and years and is consistently good… one of our “go to” restaurants. The She crab soup is the best… the salads are exceptional and the cheesecake is the best in the city ! The bar is the prettiest in the city and the service is impeccable. This place is a must!

   Service outside was terrible. Husband got his food 20 minutes before the rest of us. Son had to cut his steak with a butter knife. Salad came undressed and then waited an additional 15 minutes for dressing to arrive. Waiter just didn’t care and never even acknowledged issues. I didn’t eat my cold salmon, but instead went through the Chick Fil A drive through after dinner.

   We try to go to Joey D’s every time we’re in Atlanta. I lived here from 1990 to 2003 and frequented Joey’s then. For a steakhouse it’s a bargain. Great seafood and specials, too. It does not disappoint! Also, you can make a reservation, which I love. Pro tip- try to get a table along the tree lined outside. It’s a beautiful view.

   We enjoyed a wonderful meal that was prepared as ordered and expected. The service was outstanding - consistently checking in, refilling water glasses, and responding to our requests.

    The new shrimp cocktail dish was excellent . Shrimp were crunchy and fresh tasting. They were a good size too. Our waitress, Cookie, was very good.
