   I had made reservations for two of my friends birthday and the welcoming reception was super nice with the sparking wine since we had to wait. We ordered two appetizers- chicken lettuce wrap which was amazing and the steak and shrimp ravioli which was also good but I like the chicken better. We ordered butter chicken which is a bit sweet for me, steak and sushi, the salmon sushi was pretty good, steak was too dry that’s why you need the sauce in my opinion. The vegetarian spaghetti was also good and sea bass was pretty good a few years back but things changed. Overall it was a nice lunch but felt a bit rushed towards the end as we didn’t get to order desert or cake for their birthdays. In addition, no mention of parking validation.

   We arrived at the restaurant, a little bit late due to an unforeseen problem with our Uber driver, but was greeted cheerfully by the hostess and offered a complementary glass of sparkling wine. We were seated a short time later at a window seat with a beautiful view. We were greeted at the table by our server and offered our beverages which were brought promptly and kept full. We ordered from the menu. I ordered the Joey steak dinner. I upgraded to filet mignon, which was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right! My meal was accompanied by broccolini and potatoes in what seemed to be wrapped in a won ton. Wonderful presentation and excellent tasting. We proceeded to have dessert which consisted of a butter cake topped with vanilla ice cream, and a raspberry drizzle along with a garnish, mint of raspberries. I highly recommend this restaurant.

   Food and atmosphere were wonderful. Service left something to be desired. Only one person in our party was offered the complimentary champagne and we were constantly trying to flag our server down for service even though the restaurant was slow. Every time we ordered something, we had to stop her from walking away so that we could finish our order or ask a question. When we ordered a two glass wine carafe, it was brought out without glasses. When she decided it was time for the check, she literally didn’t even ask us if we were ready but instead said will it be one check or separate and shoved the tablet in our face. We actually wanted to order dessert, but it was clear we were preventing her from leaving for the night. I’m a little disappointed in the service because we were excited to try it out and were here for business. ☹️

   Although a bit overpriced for what we got, the restaurant is beautiful in a fun outdoor mall area, the ambiance was great and our server, Cierra, made the experience fantastic. Really a nice dinner that just cost a bit more than it should, but doesn’t everything!

   Food wasn’t great, had to wait 30 minutes for our reservation. Our server was wearing plastic gloves. We don’t have a great experience. Although I did have high expectations.

   I had a great time at Joey’s. I was greeted with a glass of champagne. The staff were nice and my waiter was great. The food was so good. I had the shrimp lettuce wraps and the wings. Can we say delicious. Parking isn’t the greatest but it’s worth it.

    We had a delightful holiday lunch. The ambience was vibrant and the service was efficient and friendly. Excellent DTLA meet up location and they validate the parking at The Bloc.
