   The gentleman who opened the door for me when I arrived was very pleasant but the rest of the staff at the front did not do a good job. There were two ladies standing behind the counter and neither of them said "hi welcome how may I help you?" Instead they both looked at me and said nothing. It felt like they were annoyed at my presence and wanted a reason for me being there. I told them I have a reservation gave them my name and they pointed to the table across the room where my friend was waiting for me. One of them could have easily walked me over. When I got to the table I asked my friend what her experience was so far and she described a very similar scenario. The waitress was ok and the food was delicious thank God. On the way out there was a different hostess who couldn't be bothered to say "bye have a nice evening". Thankfully the kind doorman opened the door and said bye. Doesn't make me want to go back though if I can't expect to have even basic customers service at the door.

   We had a really great evening,, first we had the perfect table To watch the football game at 16h30 ,, and again we had the perfect table at 19h30,,right beside the wine cellar for our group of 8 ,,and finally the food and the service especially from Our first waiter Bernie was excellent ,,,and again ,THANKS to LEONIE,,, Thank you Leonie Claude and LARISA

   Outstanding for dinner and lunch, which we happen to have on the same day. Out waitress for lunch was absolutely outstanding and very service oriented. We were seated quickly after arrival and all food and drinks were worth the time and price. It’s hard to find places that are consistent, but Joe doesn’t disappoint. We will be back for sure.

   i usually love joeys and it is one of my frequent spots but on this particular visit my steak was cold and the portions were a bit smaller than usual☹️

    As a young server myself , I am always highly critical of restaurants and service, because I know how the system works in most places… Also considering that I have applied for a JOEY position and understand how competitive their jobs are and how they strive for “Hospitality Excellence”. Last night I was disappointed at JOEY Rideau. My girlfriend and I were celebrating our 2 year anniversary, which I wrote on the reservation notes… The hostess at the front kindly congratulated us on our special day, and brought us to our table. It then took about 5-6 minutes for any server to come to our table. After that, we ordered some drinks and the gyozas for an appetizer , and the food arrived before any cutlery or our drinks. I get that this happens, as a server sometimes the kitchen just beats you. We both had steaks for dinner, and the food was great. I wish our server had said something about the anniversary, as I know it is the responsibility of the server to make us feel welcome and such. Not a terrible experience but considering the prices and standards that JOEY holds I feel we did not experience hospitality excellence .
