   This is me and my husband’s fourth time to Joey Uptown. We’re from ATL but we always make time to visit Joey’s. Will has been our waiter multiple times, he always gives exceptional service. The lettuce wraps are always to die for and we’ve explored the menu thoroughly and everything always tastes so good. And we love the complimentary champagne at the door. Will always come back to Joey’s!

    The ambiance and food were stellar, the service I was utmost disappointed with and I can say that I felt it was terrible. As a diner, experience is everything, it’s one thing to be offered bubbles at the host stand, however- it was a slower Monday, the hostess did not read the reservation notes, it took a great moment before we were seated, and when we were seated we were seated at the utmost back corner of the restaurant, (when I requested for a booth / scenic point of restaurant) the service was very transactional, with no personalization, and without any care of any hospitality- it was mediocre service at best. I noticed several wait staff standing around and noticed a young lady with a really short dress cursing and conversing to another coworker loud enough for diners to hear. As a hospitality professional - I saw no upper management table touching, I did see several big business groups dining- however no extra care to the service , which is a shame because the food was delicious. I did notice as we were leaving that the kitchen brigade was in order working hard, and chefs controlling every aspect. I would ask that the FOH staff to ensure that every guest has a memorable experience, and think about how they can elevate this experience and be aware of their surroundings and actions for future diners.
