    Let me start out by saying we have recommended JoLo Winery to many people, the food has been very good & we love the atmosphere there. Last night we brought two of our friends that had never been before, We have dined there many times in the past, but haven’t been there lately. Last night we were not as pleased as we had been in the past. I ordered the steak tips medium rare, they were prepared medium well, and our waitress was very attentive to remake the entrée. As she served me again she mentioned that it’s difficult to get the dish medium rare due to the marinade. The fillet itself was tender, just a bit salty. My husband ordered the New York strip, the flavor was very good although the steak was a little chewy.  One friend also ordered the beef tips & said it was prepared correctly. My other friend ordered the grouper & said it was very good! We had a bottle of the Meritage wine with dinner, which was very good. We were initially going to do a wine tasting before dinner, but felt the price at 35.00 per person to be excessive as well as not being able to select which wines we wanted to taste. Not sure if they were having an off night.

    My husband and I both enjoy going to wineries and visiting JOLO Winery & Vineyards and its restaurant has by far been our favorite. We like reds, and the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot were excellent. We purchased a couple of bottles of each to bring home. Plus, both of us are major foodies. We sat outside for a perfect day, where my husband had the beef tips our server recommended, and I had the Eggplant Rollatini, which was really good. We had the Key Lime Pie for dessert. Caitlin, our server, was so nice, knowledgeable. JOLO is the perfect place for a date lunch or dinner. Overall, we definitely had a great time and can't wait to come back.
