We didn’t even get to order our food due to the kitchen being 1.5 hrs behind schedule. Had a comedy show to get to after dinner and had to leave before we ordered. Very upsetting that we barely got our drinks, which we ordered our own at the bar shortly after arrival, and had to leave to get McDonalds before the show so we wont be so famished. Despite waiting 40 minutes to be seated with a reservation and another 30 to even speak with a waitress…. The food did look very good and the staff was very apologetic and sweet… we gonna try it again on a less busy day 😌. Hopefully it will be a better experience!

The food was great. However, our orders took approximately 1.5 hours to come. Our server, Amia was apologetic and sweet, but is desperately in need of more staff.

We had reservations for 2pm, got to the restaurant and no on was at the entrance for 4 minutes. Once the reservations was confirmed we waited at the bar another 10 minutes for our table. Wait staff seem to not be on the same page and scrambling around, people at the tables were just looking as if they were waiting for service. Our waitress Brittany was AWESOME, polite, knowledgeable, recommended options that were great. The drinks came out late, the food taste DELICIOUS but was warm. Pot roast empanadas 💯, ox tails and grits, lamb chops and grits, buffalo hot wings. I would rate on a scale from 1-10 a 6.5. Definitely will recommend and try again when not so busy. Atmosphere nice vibe and ambience.

Never even got a chance to eat here. Upon arrival the valet was persistent in asking us if we had reservations which we did . We paid $10 to park valet and entered the establishment. The inside has a nice ambiance and was very clean. However the host never greeted us never asked if we had reservations she just said come on . Once seated our waitress came over and before we could get anything out she said we could not place and order for 20-25 minutes due to the kitchen being behind . We placed drink orders that we never received , we also saw people getting food and getting their orders taken who had sat down after us. We could see other frustrated customers just sitting at tables and could see the staff arguing with each other. After an hour we decided to leave , we were celebrating our anniversary and the atmosphere just wasn’t promising . Some of the managers saw us leaving and offered to buy us a drink after we waited more we decided to go to the bar and get our own drinks- the drinks still not being ready was concerning since we had placed the same drinks an hour ago with the server . I appreciate the gesture buying the drinks but the experience was not good at all. A manager took our phone number to give to the owner but I never heard back . It’s really a bummer because I am originally from Michigan and wanted to support this Chicago based business.

We had reservations for 1pm and once seated wasn’t greeted until 45 minutes later with waters. Waitress took our order but nothing came out for almost 2 hours. We inquired about the status of our drinks and was met with an argumentative manager and server as they explained they were short staffed at the bar and they were going to rush the order to end up with only 2 out of the 4 drinks that were ordered. I can not speak on the food because we never received a plate at our table. Definitely not returning.

Well unfortunately I came in on a day where half their staff called out and they were extremely short staffed. I will give grace as they did the best they could with the hand they were dealt on a busy Sunday afternoon. The lamb chops and waffles were good, drunk in love drink was not. One thing I will say if there some be more clear rules about only being able to order from the brunch menu during brunch hours and not having access to the fill menu. The poor host got ripped a new one by a customer who tried to order other food.

The staff was nice. For some reason my original waiter disappeared and the young lady who took over was extremely distracted. She took everything I asked for to the table next to me before she realized she was at the wrong table including my debit card. The bag I asked for to place my to go food in she kind of threw it on the table and it fell on the floor but walked away so fast it stayed on the floor and when she finally came back she asked if I wanted the bag off the floor and my 8 year old daughter said no we want a new bag. Kids are welcomed but the menu does not accommodate kids. The food was delicious my only complaint is the portion sizes are small for what you pay. I’m glad I gave it a try, will I go back probably not. And although on here it says there is parking in the back it is valet for $10. Free parking is in the street but so many no parking signs I wouldn’t trust it.

We visited on 3/1/2025 and I must say I was very impressed with the quality and atmosphere and service that was provided. We ordered a variety of things ranging from the pot roast empanadas to the jerk chicken with mac and cheese and yams and let’s not forget the cabbage. We also had the peach cobbler that was recommended by Jasmine our waitress who was outstanding. I will most definitely be back very soon…
