   The service was absolutely terrible. I ordered a cocktail mojito ($25) they served it with no mint or lime !! Because they had run out !! Drink service was awful Staff had no idea what they were doing, even with basic drinks …. Gin and tonic I was given a bramble Gin instead of Bombay gin. Good wise My starter of pork belly was great, steak was ok, and they forgot my desert ….. had to ask twice. Overall given the set menu of three courses was $105 It was terrible value for money and the whole experience was such a let down. I stayed at the hotel and had booked dinner for a special occasion. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any friends or family Overall such a below standard experience

   Extremely disappointed in the quality of the food and service, i would expect fresh food made on the premises when paying $99 per head For high tea. Outrageously overpriced for what we received. Sandwiches were dry, scones were dry, and hot food was bought in as were the cakes. The room was hot and we had to ask for the air conditioner to be turned up. It was my husband’s birthday and our table of 5 all left disappointed. Would NOT recommend. Waste of $495.00 😏

   We arrived expecting alacarte or high tea only high tea avaliable at 12:30? High tea very expensive for what we got. Disappointing

   Excellent service and lovely view over the mansion grounds. Both duck and steak were a bit overdone.

   The food was good initial service was fine but the focus was on conference group and wedding guests, not on us. We waited unreasonably long times for follow up drink’s which were not the ones we ordered. We were compensated for the mishap. Unfortunately not a good experience today.

   The high tea was very disappointing and too expensive for the quality of food provided. I was informed that all food was prepared off location and was brought in for the day. It showed ! The food was neither particularly fresh, nor interesting. So disappointing given the lovely ambience and location. Staff were excellent but were let down by the food. It rather spoilt my birthday party with friends. I will not be eating at Joseph's again

   We had booked online for Sunday evening but when we arrived we were told that the restaurant was closed. They checked the booking and saw it on the computer. We were then told the menu would be different because of being Sunday. We were looking forward to the seafood but settled with steak, chips and salad. Feeling disappointed we waited for our meal. The main waiter brought us complimentary drinks and the meal was delicious. Cooked to perfection. The waiter also brought us complimentary desserts to show his apology. We had the dining room to ourselves for most of our dining experience. We will definitely go again but would go on a night that had seafood on the menu.

   Unimaginative menu although makes sense given most people get a package and a selection of standard dishes. Quite basic execution for our taste buds. Underwhelming

    Do not go on a Sunday or Monday as seated in a restaurant with a bar menu heated by one person who is the server and the everything person. He was fine but extremely busy. Just book somewhere else on those nights
