   We had a great time for our anniversary. The food was delicious and unique and they have some tasty mocktails. We will be back to try the chef tasting next time.

   Jun was amazing! Every dish was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed the shrimp starter, the croutons on the gem lettuce were to die for! And the branzino was beautifully butterflied and large enough to share with 2 people! The sweet potatoes and brisket were also tasty. This is a great spot for date night or a cozy catch up with a friend. The ambiance and decor give it a bohemian feel. This has been added to my allstar list.

   We tried the mussels, oysters, tartare, fried chicken, and ribs. Everything was great, though the chicken breast was a bit dry, and the ribs had a flavor we weren’t too fond of. We’ll definitely go again to try other dishes.

   Amazing experience. The food was incredible. The restaurant is decorated perfectly. The branzino was cooked perfectly, the brisket was very unique and the mussels were so tasty (and I am not a fan of mussels). The goat cheesecake with the ginger lychee sorbet was the perfect ending.

   Fabulous meal with flavor combinations that continued to surprise. Great service, good atmosphere. I wish they had a full bar, though.

   I had the chef’s tasting menu during happy hour on a saturday afternoon, I sat at the bar. The restaurant has a nice aesthetic, good lighting, and the staff looks professional. I often eat alone and one thing that I look for is to be treated similar to every other party whether they are larger in size or not. This day, the bar was filled with a party of 3, a party of 2 and then me. Things are off to a good start after I order and recieve a mixed drink, I had a carajillo which tasted great. I then got started on the chef’s tasting menu. The first dish was truly impressive, the Gulf Shrimp Aguachile. After that, things began to fall short. I understand and am familiar with the concept of a tasting menu and the idea of being able to experience different flavors without commiting to too filling of a portion. However, many of the dishes lacked cohesion, primarily the cauliflower, sausage, and carrots. Sure, there were flavors to appreciate amongst all of them but at the end of the day, they felt hollow and more like fillers. They simply were not inventive or exciting enough to stand on their own. So that’s the food. The service was…okay. My water was filled, my plates and utensils were cleared, but I expected more from the service. One event stands out: as happy hour was coming to an end and my cocktail was finished, one of the bartenders asked the other to make a round for last call for the discounted cocktails. And so he did, he asked every party except me if they wanted to place an order before happy hour ended. It wasn’t until 10 minutes after happy hour had ended and the signs showing the deals were put away that I was finally asked if I wanted a new drink. This cast a large shade over an increasingly dull evening. Overall, Jūn is not a terribly expensive restaurant to eat at but it still does not do enough to warrant the price or its rating.
