    A one-of-a-kind night where the heart of Greek tradition pulses with music, food, and drink. Be immersed in the Rebetika sound – the raw, emotional, and soulful music of urban Greece, often referred to as Greek blues – performed live by a talented local group of musicians. To accompany, a selection of meze including pickled octopus, marinated peppers and smoky pastourma. Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Greek night without ouzo, matched to each meze course. Each guest will also receive a bottle of premium ouzo, sourced from family-owned distilleries across Greece. An educational, sensory journey through Greece’s past and present.

                                                      Wonderfully friendly and attentive staff who gave us the best table in the house for our anniversary dinner. The lamb and beef cheek were so melt in the mouth, paired with a very moreish red wine recommendation. Would highly recommend.

                                                      I came here years ago for a quiet drink and supper. It was much better then. Now the music is too load and the menu options not as good. The smell of cigar smoke from the upstairs bar is not good while eating.

                                                      We had the best waiter who raised send our experience by his care, sense of humour and guidance on what to eat. The food is really nice and the waiter suggested I have a small main, which was just right.

                                                      The food is wonderful and the service is first-class! The team at Kafeneion go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service. Everyone is friendly, happy and ready with some cheeky rhetoric. The four in our party shared entrees of Ouzo-Cured kingfish, Whipped Roe, Yoghurt Dip, Meatballs, Dry Cured Beef with Olives & Fenneland and pickled vegetables with divine bread. Everything was delicious and full of flavour. For the main meals, we shared the lamb, chicken, fish of the day (a whole flathead), artichokes and peas, with a Greek salad. All the dishes were full of flavour and the perfect size for sharing so that we could all get a good sample. The team were welcoming and assisted with our friend who was sporting an injured foot, with a foot stool and larger table. For a Monday night, the place was filled with people just enjoying the great food and excellent service. This is a place that is worth a visit and a place that you will want to keep coming back to.
