   They need to change their boring piano music and play Mykonos lounge music. Such great food with a modern Mediterranean lounge vibe and piano 1970 music don’t go together. Still I recommend it 100%

   We were really looking forward to our dinner here, but upon arrival nothing went right. Our party, along with 10 or so other parties were all crammed in the front door waiting to be seated for over 15 minutes, all while trying not to stand on top of people seated and eating. Once seated, the cornbread appetizer given was dryer than the Sahara. One of the members of our party ordered the sea bass and it was plopped on a plate of lettuce and not deboned? The other dish was cold. The dessert was undercooked, the apples still raw. It seems like the restaurant was super understaffed, but do appreciate our waiter who was running all over the place and doing his best with a lame situation! The wine parings were adequate but that’s about the only positive to say about this experience. Hoping they can figure out an efficient way to seat people or to not make every reservation at the same time, and hoping they can resolve their lack of staffing! Could be a cool restaurant with some changes.

   We had a great time in Kaneo. Granted, we were the first ones for dinner, but service was awesome. They were very courteous and quick. Everything we ordered was delicious! The whole branzino was grilled very well, the squid ink pasta with scallops was perfect!

   Flavorful main courses for both my wife and I. The carbonara was excellent. Creamy, salty, the right amount of pancetta. The gyro had fresh greens, an authentic tzatziki and the pita was the perfect density. The fact that Kaneo can put out dishes that are so different, yet both wonderful speaks to the ability of the kitchen.

   We had a large group and they were very accommodating. However,I don’t think they were staffed well enough to service our table. And we had a 6:15 reservation. Also, when the bill was presented, tip was not included. When the bill came back w the credit card, a 22% tip had been added- with room for additional tip! This was very underhanded. I was never told about the mandatory tip and it was sneaky how they did it after the credit card was charged. The food was good, not necessarily “Mediterranean “, and the Palomas were delicious!

   The atmosphere and service are excellent. The food does quite not match. Mussels were overcooked with a tomato broth that was noticeably under-seasoned, particularly with respect to salt (which is a theme). The octopus carpaccio was good. The squid ink risotto looks the part. The scallops and pasta were cooked perfectly. Again, it was under-seasoned and the sauce a bit too thick/starchy. Prices were not unreasonable for what’s being attempted. A few tweaks and it would be a winner.

   Food, service, and ambience all terrible. Whoever choose the chairs for this restaurant clearly did not sit in them. Big metal bar right across the back. Very uncomfortable. The steak was tough and overcooked. Same with the chicken. And the women’s restroom was downstairs and at the very end of a long, narrow hall, past the men’s room. Clearly not designed by a woman. One feels trapped. Bad experience overall. Won’t go back.

    Give this place 3 & 1/2 stars. Husband and I checked this place out on date night. It was very quiet inside and not very busy for a Sat night on Main Street. The service was excellent. Started off with the beet salad, it was lovely, the only thing I would change is to add just a little bit more dressing as it was delish. Or some olive oil to the greens tossed beforehand. We tried the Negroni & Mr. Danny ocean, both were nice. I went with the mussels and my husband had the salmon. The mussels were good, but would have been better with a sauce that had more broth, it was very tomato forward and had good flavor. Salmon was good, just a little under seasoned, could def use more salt and maybe some zatar on it.
