It was hot and they would not turn on the AC. It was a C experience and for the prices in Old Town is was a let down

The tables next to us were very loud and vulgar, food was just okay, was not able to adjust anything on menu, ambiance was alright. They were out of a few things we wanted. It wasn’t horrible but was not great.

We enjoyed the AOF pork chop entree (although I could have done without the bean stew) paired with fried cabbage and carrots. The chops were juicy and flavorful and the vegetables were seasoned well with a nice texture. We finished with the blackberry cobbler and the chocolate peanut butter bacon bar. I can’t speak to how the cobbler tasted. I just know that my dining companion was very pleased and finished it all. The chocolate peanut butter bacon bar is beautifully presented with a caramel sauce drizzle. It was, however, much lighter than I expected. The peanut butter topping is more mousse like with a light flavor. The bacon topping adds texture and saltiness. While tasty, it may not be the dessert for you if you prefer an intense peanut butter flavor. Rueben and the other staff provided outstanding service.

Just ok nothing spectacular, should have been leery with reservations available the day before Easter. Eggs were not cooked as specified. Potatoes were decent. One and done…

The waiter spoke little English and didn’t understand most of what we asked and ordered. One meal came with toast and he never brought out any butter or jam or offered. He also never offered dessert or came to check on how the food was that we did order. One order was a basic plate of eggs, crispy potatoes, bacon and toast. The potatoes were overdone, the bacon was a full slab of bacon half cooked and the toast was overdone and cold. Very disappointing.

My party had a wonderful experience dining at King & Rye tonight. The vibe was clean and casual, decor modern. Our server was extremely congenial and attentive without being obtrusive. Our food was admittedly simple- three of the four members of our party ordered smash burgers. They were very happy with the size (they were not overly hungry and these were normal-people sized smash burgers, not disgustingly huge ones), made with good quality products and tasted great. They were very impressed with the homemade tater tots (I tried one, they were great!), essentially creamy mashed potatoes inside a very crispy outside. I had sautéed seasonal veggies with chimicurri sauce. The sauce was exceptionally bland but the veggies were grilled nicely - a touch of salt and pepper cured all woes. Our bill was exceptionally reasonable and we left extremely satisfied. I’d recommend dining there without any reservations.

The restaurant was too hot. The server was no where to be found. No iced coffee.

Food was amazing. We had reservations and arrived in time. We asked to sit outside and it seemed like a bother but were were seated rather quickly after they cleaned the table. Waiter came over begrudgingly and took out order. Was disengaged and barely spoke.
