KOYN Japanese is located on our ground floor of Mayfair's Grosvenor Square and is a celebration of the timeless artistry of Japanese cuisine elevated by a contemporary approach.

    The chefs did not made the omakase the experience as it should be. The sake is mid, the first course the senbei hurts my mouth, honestly would not recommend. Some of the dishes r nice yet the service was really disappointing, with little explanation nor attentiveness.

    I received a voucher to visit this restaurant as a birthday gift. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. While the food was generally good—though a couple of dishes were a bit salty for my taste, which may just be personal preference—the quality and taste didn’t justify the high prices. The ambiance was pleasant, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

    Absolutely outstanding food and service; the sushi was delicious I especially loved the yellowtail with truffle. The Chilean Sea bass with shiso salsa verde and the Napa cabbage with koji dressing were unbelievable. Fantastic dining experience, highly recommended!

    Lack of service from Indian staff - too focused on “a specific” table missing the attention to details on the order. Not a friendly catering. Lady taking over were friendly. Food OK but not over the moon. Some courses a bid bland in taste and tempura prawns were soft.

    Lovely food and great ambience. The toro, spiced tuna, slow cooked beef gohan, and napa cabbage are our clear favourites!

    Food was amazing. Staff were very knowledgeable about the products on offer as well as pairings for drinks and food. The overall experience was delightful. We did book this as a celebration but unfortunately did not hear anything regarding it. Also almost every meal was 3 portions (there were 3 of us) but at the end the portions were reduced to 2 for some reason.

    This was a really poor dining experience. My partner and I had the tasting menu costing £200 for us both, and to say we feel ripped off is an understatement. We were waiting 20 minutes between each dish. When our different dishes arrived we were not told what they were. The food tasted okay, but it was nothing to write home about. Our bad dining experience was topped off when one small chocolate fondant arrived with a tiny piece of ice cream and we had to share this. (Picture attached). Without doubt the worst value I've had in London. The food took an age, the beer was warm and there were empty glasses and bottles left on our table. It should be said that including ourselves there was a total of 7 people dining in the entire restaurant. We paid £250 in total, but there was zero substance or satisfaction.
