   What a special experience - eat fish we ordered was delicious, the chunk steak skewers were our favorite. They were truly mindblowing and even my non-vegan partner was thoroughly impressed! The staff was so friendly and the space mirrored that of an extremely expensive sushi restaurant even though everything was reasonably priced. Because they take such great care, the wait time for the food was a bit longer than expected but it was worth the wait. The beer is always exceptional here too!

   Chef Pearl Steffie’s KUSAKI did not disappoint as the meal experience was outstanding. It was so impressive that I ordered the vegan steak entree not once, but twice. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone to enjoy, plant-based or otherwise. 5 Stars.

   I trued the 10 course omakase by the bar. It's amazing! Everything tastes good. The nigiri are like real fish. They had one dish that is "ribeye" which is very juicy. I like the silken tofu, avocado crispy rice, tuna roll, and crispy eggplant the most. The desert is a perfect ending. It seems like they make all the food in house. I don't know how they make it but definitely admire their creativity. Sake and Pinot noir is fantastic if you drink alcohol.

   I usually love Kusaki and was so sad when they were closing, but we went recently for a pop-up event and the quality and service had significantly changed. It’s still one of my favorite restaurants and I hope they are able to make a comeback!

   Excellent food, excellent service. The flavors are tremendous, the menu is very interesting, innovative, fun and delicious and I love that it is all vegan! Everyone should try this place and support the fabulous Pearl, her talents and her team.

   As longtime vegans, this was our first Omakase experience, and it did not disappoint. The chefs turned everything into art, including the theatre of making of each dish, in front of our eyes. The space is a serene and beautiful backdrop to the beautiful food and attentive service. We live up in the Bay Area, but look forward to coming back here on our next trip to LA!

    Exceptional food in a modern Japanese setting. Chef Pearl and team create some of the most amazing flavors we've had in L.A. and am excited to tell more people to come here. We've had their omakase twice, and now the full menu. Don't sleep on the Shishito burger either!
