The muscles were the best dish that we had. The reinvention of the French onion soup was disgusting. The beet salad was good. As far as the entrées, the filet was tough and was not a good quality beef. The ribeye other than being extremely expensive was very fatty and cooked adequately, but the quality of beef is very subpar. The service was extremely slow, and normally we would like to take our time eating, but when we were watching other tables around us being served on a more timely fashion, it was disconcerting. We also had to ask multiple times for our wine and cocktails, and the last glass of wine we ordered never came to the table. As far as the busing of the table, it appeared to be only one gentleman that cleared the plates. Several people walked by our table, full of dirty dishes, and did not bother to grab them. Overall, the atmosphere is not what it once was nothing about the restaurant is what it wants was. We expected to go into a darker more comfortable restaurant, and instead we had spotlights shining on our table and several spotlights shining directly into our eyes. It is very bright in there And maybe that’s what they’re going for, but if they’re trying to replicate a French bistro, I would expect the prices to be a French bistro not a restaurant that was known for its ambience and service. Overall, I would avoid this restaurant in the future. It is very sad because for years It was one of our favorite restaurants, especially during the holiday season

I took my wife and daughter to eat the day after Christmas. My wife and I always go in December to see the decorations and walk around after dinner. The swan was out in the upper pond. I enjoyed the fresh oysters. I really enjoyed the bouillabaisse, my wife the salmon, and our daughter the filet mignon very rare (blue). The sides were delightful. We couldn't resist the flourless chocolate cake and the chef specially prepared coconut sorbet. They accommodated the two gluten free ladies and one milk free. The service was also wonderful, cheerful and attentive. Meg made sure we were happy and well taken care of. The manager also visited us and wished us a merry Christmas. The valet gave us extra time to walk the grounds and see the lights and decorations before delivering our car without us even asking. We love going in the Christmas season.

I have eaten here many times over the years and always loved it and wanted my family to experience it. First, we were seated in an annex/event space to the main house with no ambience, given 3 menus for 5 people, our reservation included a wine pairing at an extra charge but our waiter and staff had no idea what that was or what they should serve. Our waiter was very very nice and tolerant of the family dynamic banter amongst us - which we appreciated. Amuse Bouche was served with intention to be on shared plate for my husband and me which was fine but they didn’t sit one in front of my son. The prix fixe menu was too heavy on seafood. My scallops were underdone served on cold risotto. 3 out of 5 entrees simply weren’t good. Dessert was great.

The holiday meal was very disappointing. Our prime rib was bland, cold and overcooked

My third visit to this restaurant in the past five years and, by far, the best! The venue is the usual excellent outside views and tasteful set-up and decorations. We enjoyed the Christmas Eve fixed menu (still with some choices). The food has taken a significant jump UP with authentic and very fresh tastes. Kudos to the Executive Chef and his team! Service was excellent but not great --- no needed change-out of silverware between a couple courses and they seemed to be a bit understaffed. The servers' attitudes were all excellent.

It’s currently under renovation so some of the beauty and charm of coming through the front was lost by diverting around the side and a new modern entrance. It was $300 for 2 people for 2 entrees, 3 drinks and a dessert to split. I’ve always loved it but it was sub par and over priced vs many prior experiences.

Ate in the new section and felt like we were in a hotel lobby. The lighting was super bright! It’s like our server forgot she had our table. She forgot drinks, clearing of plates and silverware. Food was not the level you would expect especially when spending $77 on a dish.

Great experience at La Caille. Food was next level- really good. We had a wonderful waitress. The service to start was a tad slow in getting us drinks and sparkling water. We had to wait a solid 20 minutes before we had our drinks. But that was the o my hiccup with the rest of the night being fabulous! Cocktails were delish. Looks like they’ve renovated and we were in a new section instead of the older more traditional house part. Have to say we preferred the old ambience. The new section was bright and stark by comparison. But overall night was great and we will be back for sure. The Christmas lights outside are a must see! Five star night.

Had the seafood stew and steak. Steak was okay but under seasoned (could have used more salt and pepper) but everything is overpriced for the quality. The charcuterie and bacon appetizers are great. Drinks are good, but not the best we’ve had. Spent about $460 for 4 people. Expansion doesn’t match their original design, which is unfortunate but can request to sit in the original dining which is very much worth the wait!

We love coming to La Caille. The grounds are lovely and generally we have a great experience. Unfortunately, this time around wasn’t up to our expectations. We had a family gathering and booked reservations for the upstairs dining room. Unfortunately, we were placed in the lounge which just didn’t have the same ambiance. Our server was great, but our entrees were dry as if they had sat for period of time. We’ll be back, but definitely didn’t live up to the moment.
