This charming and intimate restaurant serves a generous and creative fresh market cuisine, cheerfully prepared by chef-owners Marc De Canck and Olivier de Montigny. At La Chronique, the pleasures of the table are always front and centre. But in addition to the delights it serves up, the restaurant is also known for its extensive wine list awarded ''Best Award of Excellence'' by Wine Spectator in 2024, welcoming décor and impeccable service. Little wonder it's been considered "essential eating" in Montreal since 1995.

    Un des meilleurs restaurants de Montréal. Les chefs Marc et Olivier sont des maîtres dans l'art de la table. Leur carte de vins est à faire rêver et le service est tout à fait à la hauteur pour contribuer à une expérience globale exceptionnelle.

    Première expérience à cet endroit. Coup de foudre pour les plats, le service. Tout est dans les détails; le dressage des assiettes est sublime, les saveurs, les textures, le service attentionné, l'explication de nos assiettes, l'accompagnement avec les vins. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre soirée et l'expérience. Merci pour cette belle soirée.

    Outstanding food beautifully presented. Attentive service though at times it felt that they were not looking after their usual guests. The fact that it was a promotion may account for this. The room is narrow and austere and makes you feel that the wonderful food deserves a more elegant setting. The quality to price ratio for the Montreal a table event was truly impressive.

    2e expérience. Toute aussi bonne que la première. Plats impressionnants. Personnel très sympathique et professionnel. Perte d’un seul point, car nous avons senti être oublié vers la fin et quelques erreurs dans les commandes (corrigées rapidement). Personnel probablement débordé comme ailleurs. Sinon presque la perfection 🤤

    4e visite depuis le mous de mai, j’ai encore reçu un accueil et un service impeccables. Le foie gras de canard et son confit était sublime, mes papilles ont été rassasiées. Que dire du caviar, de l’accord vins et mets et tous les autres plats dégustés. Extraordinaire!!! Bravo au chef Marc-Antoine Bastien et son équipe. Un restaurant à découvrir et y revenir.

    Nous avons expérimenté La Chronique dans la cadre de l'événement MTL à table, ce qui explique probablement en partie que le personnel - très courtois d'ailleurs- semblait un peu débordé. La nourriture était excellente et nous avons passé une très agréable soirée.
