Walking past our open kitchen to your table, you will see an enticing array of Margaritas, Mezcales, Tequilas and Mexican beers being served from our bar, ready to get you in the fiesta mood. When it comes to Mexican food you are in experienced hands with Adam in the kitchen and Eliza in the restaurant. After meeting seven years ago, they travelled many times around Eliza’s native Mexico, falling in love with local ingredients, flavours and techniques. Our tacos are made with traditionally crafted soft tortillas made from stone-ground Mexican corn called nixtamal, generously topped with a choice of delicious fillings. Tables are set with condiments allowing you to add your own level of spice and have a different bite every time. With dishes to share or to enjoy for yourself, our menu also features quesadillas, ceviche of the day, tortilla soup, tortas, specials and more.

We ordered the starter (Smokey Porkey something). It tasted very spicy and a bit strange, so I asked for sour cream to cool off with it. Later the evening I started to get crampey ill in my stomach. This held on till the next day. My boyfriend started to get ill at 3am in the morning after the food. He could not get out of the bathroom for a long while. We had no other food that night so sure it must have been this. Very dissapointed.

There wasn’t a vegan menu for lunch, thankfully we could make some vegetarian options vegan. I had seen a vegan menu in Internet but apparently it must be only for dinner.

Excellent food, with friendly and efficient service. I've eaten in many restaurants around the UK and this is one of the best.

Enjoyed our meal in la Taqueria. However we were sitting close to the door and every time the door opened there was a draft. I had booked our table a few weeks ago so would have thought we would have a nice table away from door. 10% added to your bill for two people was a surprise as it states on website 10% for table of 5 or more.
