Had an absolutely fantastic time at the Lazy Lobster for my partner’s birthday. The setting is lovely, the service excellent and the food delicious. Between the two of us, we had 3 sharing plates, two sides, bread (with delicious seaweed butter), two fried oysters, a pudding and a couple of drinks each and it came to £55 a head. We thought this was very reasonable for what is really excellent quality food. We have visited a number of Michelin star restaurants in Kent and beyond and, whilst a more relaxed/informal style of dining at the Lazy Lobster, we certainly felt that there were dishes that would compete. We particularly loved the tuna tartare, lobster and prawn noodles and chocolate panna cotta with marmalade. We’ll definitely be back to sample other plates!

Superb. Staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. It is a sharing menu, much like tapas so food arrives when ready rather than how it is ordered. I would highly recommend it.

Amazing food such great flavours. Excellent service, welcoming and friendly. Only downside was a group of six, of whom two males were so loud with their normal conversation level being one that was shouted to each other, so loud it made your ears hurt! So many people asked to move table including us but the staff coped well. Such a calm descended once that group had left. Overall it was excellent and we’d not hesitate to return.

Nice evening food was tasty and temperature of the food was good. But me and my fiancee wasn’t impressed by the waitress that had served us as she didn’t offer us any specials off the menu when we had heard the table next to us.

Booked this last minute on a trip to Whistable. The service and food were good but the restaurant was just way too cold. The tables and cutlery were ice cold and we just couldn’t get warm. They really need to turn the heating on over the winter months, as this really impacted the experience.

Is our second visit. A very friendly privately owned restaurant set in a pub building. They have a bar with a good selection of drinks, including a decent ale. The food menu changes regularly and is short, which I like as tends to mean the chefs focus on delivering fresh well thought out food. The selection is nicely varied, something for all. We were four and selected a range of sharing dishes. Service is nicely paced, the food is excellent and the wine list is good and fair value. We will be back. Another Whistable winner.
