   We took our son to Le Crocodile for his birthday and wanted to splurge on him and ordered a bottle of champagne that the sommelier recommended. While an ok tasting wine I looked it up and found that we paid $300 for a $90 bottle of champagne. I call that a wine mugging. The food was good but not excellent for the high prices. The seared foie gras accompanying the 2 duck dishes ordered was raw, on both plates and when mention the server said she would tell the chef…we got no response. The new decor has been well done and the tables given more space between diners, which was nice. Given the number of excellent restaurants in Vancouver I’m not sure we would return, unfortunately, as we’ve been going to Le Crocodile for 30 years.

   Top-notch French-inspired cuisine. On par with what I would find at a good Montreal restaurant. I had heard ups and downs since Chef Feenie took over but the meal we had was better than Lumiere. We shared a burrata salad with local beets -- nothing otherworldly but fresh ingredients and tasty. Also shared the hamachi crudo which is apparently award-winning, and I can see why. I had one of the best duck breasts I have had in my life, with seared foie gras accompaniment to boot. My friend had the veal with morel sauce. Both were really top-notch. We sat at the bar and had very friendly and attentive service. Wine list is relatively small for this type of restaurant, and the bottom end of the price range is missing. We had the sommelier suggest a bottle of low-intervention burgundy which suited our food well. Atmosphere is very classic and not too loud. Overall a classy restaurant perfect for a business meeting, tete-a-tete, or a special occasion when you want to hear each other talk!

   It was such a treat to dine out at Le Crocodile! My husband and I absolutely loved every item! The sablefish hands down was the best ever! It was also a very nice surprise to meet Chef Rob Feenie again! He’s such a delight.

   We had a great time at Le Crocodile. We had escargot—delicious and the chicken with mushrooms, spinach and spaetzle—the chicken was so moist and the mushroom sauce was excellent—very flavourful. Andre, our server, was very pleasant and attentive. Would definitely come back!

   Our dinner at Le Crocodile was the best restaurant experience we have had recently in Vancouver. The service is excellent. The food met all our expectations. The price was acceptable for the value. The noise level was a bit high for sociable dining. The background music could be chosen to be more pleasant. Overall: excellent service, delicious food, good value, but a bit loud.

   impeccable service. i mentioned in passing that i dont drink alcohol when they offered wine at the beginning of the meal. at the end of the meal, they served a lychee and vodka sorbet palate cleanser. they gave me one without vodka. i was impressed with how they took note and adjusted the offering for me.

   My friend and I hadn't been to Le Crocodile since it was taken over by RF, and it was a very good transition. The decor was slightly simplified but not radically changed, and the food and service were extremely good.

    The food was refined and delicious. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing and the sommelier was very enthusiastic about her wines. Will be back for sure.
