   the food and service were great but the music was horrible. we had to put up with tunes such as The Climb by Miley Cyrus and Toxic by Britney Spears! I generally don’t mind these songs but just so weird to hear at a french restaurant. did not fit the vibe and destroyed the ambiance completely.

   I was looking for a classy, fun brunch without breaking the bank. The spot had creative twists on classics and offered better value than other brunch spots. Delicious, classy, and fun.

   Waited forever for a basic food order. There must have been trouble in the kitchen. Our waiter was excellent but clearly irked by the problems in the kitchen. We made a reservation early enough to get to a performance. We barely got there on time. A couple of diners next to us left without getting their entrees because they didn’t want to be late. They arrived at the restaurant before we did. Not sure I would go back although I had a good experience there for brunch on an extremely busy Saturday. Night and day difference.

   We had two appetizers--French onion soup and oysters--and two bigger dishes, moules marinières and tarte flambée. Nicely prepared, though the tarte flambée needed a bit more flavor. One interesting omission: no bread unless it was ordered a la carte and paid for separately. That seemed especially odd when moules marinières are made with broth to sop up! Noise level was pretty high for a fancy-ish restaurant.

   This dinner was everything. The roasted chicken was to die for, and we had to tear ourselves away from the sweet potato fries. Would definitely recommend the espresso martini. 10/10, would recommend

   Le Monde food was excellent as usual. The only issue is often that things are pretty noisy for the tables on the restaurant side near the bar. It did become quieter though in about 1.5 hours. Everything else is v good.

   LeMonde is an always reliable neighborhood place with consistently great food, attractive bistro atmosphere, and a cozy vibe. It's a perfect place for a relaxed lunch or dinner with friends or family in Morningside Heights.
